Today it was time to clean the house's cistern where the water is stored, which was a little dirty//Hoy tocó limpiar la cisterna de la casa dónde se almacena el agua qué estaba un poco sucia
Beforehand, a pump was installed to try to remove as much water as possible, since, to our surprise, there was a large amount. As you can see in the photos, we then poured it down the drain in the laundry room (honestly, a somewhat inconvenient place for a cistern, but the previous owners of the house thought differently).
Later, seeing that it would take us longer, we decided it was time for me to get into the water tank to try and remove some of the sediment at the bottom and finish the job faster. I stirred it a little, and the water started to change color, becoming a bit darker than what it had been coming out of before.
After several minutes, the pump couldn't remove any more water because there was only a little left at the bottom, so we removed it completely with buckets (you can see it clearly in the photos). After removing all the water, there was a lot of accumulated sediment left at the bottom, which I removed little by little with a shovel. You can see the photo of the bucket full of sediment; we removed about four buckets, leaving everything as clean as possible before giving it the final cleaning.
To finish the job, it was just a matter of giving it a final touch with the broom and adding a little clean water to remove the remaining sediment. Everything was nice and clean, as you can see in the final photos. Now it was just a matter of waiting for the water to arrive, which they will do later or perhaps early tomorrow. But our work was finished: cleaning that cistern after several years without it being done, since the house had been uninhabited for several years.
Siempre que pueda es un gusto amigos Hivers el poder compartir publicaciones aquí en la comunidad #gems de las actividades qué realizo en el día mientras estoy trabajando ya terminamos casi todo pero faltaría quizás lo más importante qué era limpiar la cisterna dónde se almacena el agua qué se consumiria en la casa a diario cómo era el más jóven me dijeron qué tenía qué limpiarlo desde adentro así que me dije qué sí pero claro primero con ayuda de una linterna observamos todo muy bien para no llevarme ninguna sorpresa al momento de bajar.
Antes se instaló una bomba para tratar de retirar la mayor cantidad de agua posible ya que para nuestra sorpresa había una gran cantidad, así cómo pueden ver en las fotografías después la arrojabamos por el desagüe qué está allí en el lavandero (sinceramente un lugar algo incómodo para una cisterna pero bueno los anteriores dueños de la casa pensaban diferente).
Ya después al ver qué tardaríamos más se nos ocurrió que era momento de introducirme en la cisterna de agua para intentar remover parte del sedimento qué se encontraba en el fondo y así tratar de terminar más rápido ese trabajo, removí un poco y ahí el agua empezó a cambiar de color por uno un poco más oscuro de lo qué estaba saliendo anteriormente.
Luego de varios minutos la bomba ya no podía retirar más agua debido a qué estaba sólo un poco en el fondo por lo qué se retiró por completo con unos baldes (se aprecia bien en las fotos) después de retirar todo el agua sólo quedaba en el fondo bastante sedimento acumulado el cuál retiré de a poco con una pala, vean la foto del balde lleno de sedimento así fueron unos 4 qué sacamos dejándolo todo lo más limpio posible antes de darle en último toque de limpieza.
Para terminar todo el trabajo era cuestión de darle un último toque con la escoba así cómo agregarle un poco de agua limpia para retirar el poco de sedimento, todo quedó bien limpio cómo se puede ver en las fotografías finales ahora sólo era cuestión de esperar a qué traigan el agua lo cuál harán más tarde ó quizás mañana temprano pero nuestro trabajo estaba ya terminado la limpieza de esa cisterna luego de varios años sin hacerse ya qué la casa tenía varios años sin estar habitada.
