Good day everyone especially the Splinterlands family!
It has been a while since I posted, I usually post every challenge Splinterlands have. I know that you don't actually want to find out but I'd like to share that I was preparing for my Mother's day and celebrated her birthday. We planned a surprise for her that made her very happy.

Anyway, without further ado, I'd like to share with you my recently liked monster. Pardon me though that maybe you were a fan of this monster but I was only realizing its capabilities recently.

Archers and their bows and arrows!

Top of the list is: Goblin Tower and Seedsmith

When Chaos Legion Packs were released, this is one of the cards we can freely use under the Earth element. I am excited to use this card on high mana battles, but without luck, I mostly lose my battles. But now, I'd like to show you how I won this battle with the Goblin Tower and Seedsmith.

Seedsmith is another card in Chaos Legion Packs. Its scavenger ability allows this monster to stay long in the game while giving its attacks. His downfall is that he has low health and no shield, and if positioned badly, an opportunistic monster might end him early.

Having said the battle rules of ranged attacks can be positioned as the first tank, I took advantage of it and risked my deck of monsters. Though I am not confident enough with ranged monsters, this battle ends well. I put the monsters with shields at the back to protect my other monster from sneak attacks. I used Mycelic Slipspawn to direct all attacks on him. Seedsmith used his ability twice in this battle with the support of Goblin Tower, but ended his life as Serpentine Spy made his attack.
I thought I would lose this battle because my enemy's lineup is also strong until we were head-on head with Lava Spider and Gorgoya Devil.

Next in line is Mantoid!

Mantoid is a free-to-use neutral card. With its snipe ability, it targets the ranged, magic, or no attack that is not in the first position. Mantoid is usually used with high mana battles.

In this battle with Mantoid the battle rules prevented his snipe ability but his 2 ranged attacks and high life made the team strong.

On the other hand, I also used Seedsmith and Goblin Tower, here you can see how advantageous they are in this battle. So if there is the absence of magic and sneak/snipe attacks, mostly we use ranged attacks. Maybe my advantage in this battle is I have a healer tank and all of my ranged attacks had 2. Like my all other Earth Element post, without any favors (in a sarcastic way 🤣) I used Wizard of Eastwood. Since ranged attacks couldn't penetrate the shield, this summoner is the best in his role to lower the guards of the enemy.

Last but not the least: Portal Spinner

Portal Spinner is a life unit monster. Her ability attacks any monster on the enemy's side. She is not affected by the sneak and snipe disability rule. She is mostly used with high mana battles and perfectly summoned by General Sloan.

Portal Spinner is cool because he's like opening a portal to hit the next target in a surprising manner. In this battle, the enemy did not have any idea that I would use ranged attacks under General Sloan. I used Truthspeaker because I believed that the enemy would use melee attacks, this might extend the lives of my monsters. I used Shieldbearer because of his ability and when my ranged monsters attacks, they would greatly damage the enemy.

Here's a battle using Mantoid and Portal Spinner.

When the healing ability is disabled, the best to use tanks are high-life monsters. My enemy and I had almost the same monsters used. What differs were Uriel and Supply Runner then the rest were the same but the positioning is different. I consciously decided to put Portal Spinner on the last because I was thinking the enemy might use a sneak attack, his shield might protect him and prevent early defeat.
