BDO Hacking Incident 2021 How Safe is Your Money in the Bank? by @tpkidkai

Last weekend, multiple account holders from Banco De Oro aka BDO received multiple text messages informing that they have sent a deposit to a certain person named "Mark Nagoyo" The name of the person sounds a scam already as the word "Nagoyo" means that the person was fooled. ( Maybe the first victim's name was Mark? ).

The pattern given was, they received a text message stating that funds are already transferred to the alleged person and when they immediately check their account. Either it is locked, or if it isn't their balance got deducted.

Traditional banks are not fail safe, in fact, trusting traditional banks with personal funds is giving them control over the funds, this author is sharing an account of a recent hack in a bank in Philippine. Could it be an inside job? Was there really a hack? Personally, I have a mantra, transparency over trust. Banks rely solely on trust, this is where crypto has an edge as you can verify transactions rather than blindly trust. So how safe is your money in the bank? You tell me.

Myanmar declares the USDT as the official currency. by @knowhow92

Another country in the world that has already joined the trend that has started the Salvadoran trend of adopting a cryptocurrency as legal tender, is Myanmar, where the parallel government of the imprisoned leader Aung San Suu Kyi, has announced this December 13 this economic measure.

For example, El Salvador started with this economic measure to boost the country's economy to new highs, and so far has been successful, while Myanmar does it mainly given the need to avoid sanctions from the regime that is currently in power and thus be able to use funds to boost the political campaign of the NUG of the imprisoned leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

Any win for crypto is a win for all. Although I’m not exactly sure why USDT is the choice for legal tender and I seriously hope they won’t learn a difficult lesson from this move.

If history is anything to go by then, everyone should be buying a coin or two before January 2021. The reason, for this reason, is that historically, coins tend to dip during the December period before a massive pump is been activated the month/year that follows. I was reading a report where it mentioned that India is among the most unequal nations in the world where the top 1% population holds around 22% of national income. India is poor, no doubt about it but again being a poor nation is ok but being an unequal nation is bad because that means the top 1% of people are enjoying whereas the bottom half have been struggling to get one-time food.

I am not criticizing anyone, who have acquired wealth through their hard work. It is just that the rich are getting richer whereas the poorer remain poor or even become poorer. And there is no way you can stop that. The problem is when you have the money you can actually make more money and that is the fact and no one denies it.

Interesting post about the many benefits of hive especially as it relates to wealth distribution. Only if more people knew and are willing to put the work in.
