New Work: Tali in the Forest (10 images within!)

DSC_2132_Preview.jpg

This series of images was shot very recently, in the last week. I was contacted following the work I completed in the forest previously with Shak and Lakeisha, and was asked if I wanted to collaborate on something with a similar mood, with a different human being, Tali.

We set a date, we organised things - then there was a total fire ban which prevented us from going on that date. So instead, we arranged a different date, and got out on a slightly nicer day where the threat of hell fire wasn't as imminent.

The images that follow are the outcome of that day. These images were shot primarily on a Nikon Z5, using a combination of the 35mm and 85mm lenses. A few shots were taken on my old, trusty D750, with my vintage Nikkor 105 F2/DC lens, which is one of my favourite lenses. It isn't very practical however, as it requires a tripod for optimal operation, owing to it not containing any vibration reduction technology.

Shot on location in South Australia. If you're in the region and you're looking for an Adelaide based photographer, please visit my website and book a shoot.

The below are in no particular order, but there's a definite narrative thread for the viewer to extract from these images.

Every single one of these images is a piece of art, worthy of being framed.
Amazing stuff.

Goddamn, these photos would have taken a lot of effort to put together.

They came out perfect too.

The Nikon Z series is one I'd cherish but at the moment, I have my eye on D850

There were a few lights out of shot, but most of these were shot with a single light, a AD200 in a metal beauty dish.

The glass is pretty good on the Z series line of lenses!

The fake blood was my own concoction; and Tali arrived keen and very well prepared!
