Spinning around The Wheel of Fortune

This is the post where I finalise my Wheel of Fortune Tarot card image. I'm starting with the image below:

I like it due to the fact that the human is the pin on the Wheel, which gives the image a sense of meaning and depth that I cannot quite describe.

In any case, the changes I want to make to this image are pretty minor.

First, I want to clean up the edges where there are other pictorial elements sneaking in. This is in the top, and bottom right of the image.

There's also the matter of adding a vingette, as I normally do to most, if not all of my images, even my photography. It seems to become a signature of my style, and to bring attention to the pictorial elements in the centre of the composition.

Here's the clean up, with the image scaled up; some simple healing brush / patch tool is all I needed to do.

Finally, there's the element of the vingette; which is easy, again, through a Camera Raw filter.

Now we have a darker, more atmospheric, and more contrasty image, which I like even better now than before.

And here is the final image, in all its glory:

The next image in the series is Justice, which is a bit of a sore point for me, after a photographic project that I otherwise believe was a failure. Maybe I will write about it someday.

The long story about that will be to come as I examine images for a final image.

In the end it turned out pretty good. Now we just need to roll the wheel of fortune and see what it holds for us.
