Home Education Curation Collection. 31st July 2021

There have been so many craft ideas this week, I couldn't share them all, but whatever age your student is I'm sure there will be something suitable for them to have a go at. Many of them are or can be geared towards learning in other curriculum areas, as well, so it's not just about art and developing those fine motor skills.

First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:

@arrliinn
@thisismylife
@emiliomoron
@majo77

Learning is so much more than a few curriculum areas. How your child approaches challenges in life sets them up for their future learning and achievements, which is why I think @taliakerch's discussion on teaching your child how to lose and win is very pertinent.

@aldara shares lots of fun ways to help children learn to write vowels. While the post focuses on vowels, these methods can easily be used for all letters.

Who'd have thought that a complex looking piece of macramé could be tailored to be done by a young child? Well @thisismylife realised she could do just that and in order to help train her daughter's fine motor skills she sourced materials that would be manageable for those little fingers.

@naimajudith created an interactive calendar for her grandson, to help him learn about the days and months of the year. These are great step by step instructions and could even be followed by older children wanting to create something for their younger siblings to use.

Playdough is a fantastic medium for use in all areas of learning, from creativity to maths and literacy. In addition to giving us the recipe, @arrliinn shares what creations and stories her kiddos have been coming up with.

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @mattclarke as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
