Cool stuff we saw in Tenby, South Wales - including an Easter Wreath and a very historic escape route

We visited the town of Tenby back in April, and I did a full post on it back then (here). While there we spotted quite few cool wee quirky things around town, that made it stand out a little bit more for me.

I just loved the blue plaque above - the sign for the Dead House Steps ! Nice - what a tourist attraction !

And thats the old entrance to the mortuary - pretty cool !

We were there on the Easter weekend and spotted the Easter wreath above on someones door - I've never seen one of these before - I really liked it. Imagine if these were all chocolate and you could take one !

A sculpture of some form that we stumbled across by an art gallery.

This tractor takes you out to Caldey Island when the tide is in - it pulls a trailer which you can sit on. And I only just noticed the seagull on the right side of the picture - coming in for the attack !

Above is a carving of what I assume is a life boat man from times gone by. This carving was sitting outside the lifeboat station.

A fancy stack of fishing creels down in the harbour. These would be used for catching crab mostly, and possibly lobster.

The lovely wee ornament above was stuck on the side of someones house - its only about 3 inches across - I love it !

Another blue plaque, this time commemorating a historic moment when Henry Tudor (Henry VII) escaped to France through a tunnel at this site back in 1471 !

And a row of sheds selling boat trips.

This looks like an old sea-mine from world war 2. I'm guessing its not and is instead some kind of dis-used navigation marker. Its now a place to donate cash for the shipwrecked mariners society.

Tenby really is a pretty place to visit, and its old enough that it has some nice history and lovely sites to see. For me, all these extra wee quirky things are the cherry on top - they really add a lot of character to the place - the Dead House Steps and the escape tunnel for Henry VII were the particularly cool ones for me !

That's pretty cool! You got some great photos. And best of all you didn't end up in the mortuary!

I loved this!!!! Damn and that sun moon thing was quite the attraction to. Me. Does that mean that those eggs are plastic??? 🤧... What a place. And I'd love to visit someday. When I'm able to travel around the world.
