Sublime and Beautiful Sunday - A walk along the seafront just before sunset

Happy St Patricks Day ! We had guests staying with us yesterday to watch the international rugby, which involved hitting the pub for a few pints of Guinness. So today we were blowing out some cobwebs and decided to go for a nice walk along the seafront here in Edinburgh just before sunset.

We were starting to get some nice colours in the clouds when we arrived at Crammond for the walk.

I fancied a walk right down on the beach itself. The tide was coming in and was already fairly high up. Thats the causeway out to Crammond Island in the pic above which you can walk out to at low tide.

We passed these 4 cheeky crows who were making quite a noise. They are quite intelligent birds.

It was a fairly warm day, being around 13 degrees C when we went for our walk (which is pretty nice for this time of year for us).

The seafront is sandy at the Crammond end, but soon turns rocky. So once we started hitting those, we made out way up onto the seafront path.

We certainly were getting treated to some nice colours in the clouds as it got closer to sunset.

There are quite few benches along the path which are dedicated to people that have passed away (normally paid for by the family). We spotted the one above which had a wee shrine set up around it including the buddha head.

We walked along for about a mile or so. By the time we turned round to go back to the car it was starting to get darker.

The views were quite nice and there were a good few people out walking the path with their dogs and the like.

We were both glad that we made it out for the walk. It would have been too easy to have stayed in the house and just vegged infront of the TV. We had a lovely walk and chat without the interruption of devices. It was also nice to get 40mins worth of exercise. A great way to complete a sunday !
