A WEEKEND THAT STANDS OUT (WE 119)

It's already been two months since I broke up with Josh and I'm still trying to get over everything about him. Jennifer was a friend that I was so grateful I had at this time because she was always there to comfort me and also get be busy not to think too much about my Ex. Josh and I were really good lovers, we were so into each other that I was so blinded despite all the red lights that was flashing in my eyes, indeed love they say it's blind, lolz.

After the first month of our break up, I felt so devastated and Jennifer who also happened to be my roomie was not happy of the way I was taking things, she had advised that I should try and go out more often than sit at home thinking about my Ex. You know how it is for those who are so in love and and like so many others, I was proving strong headed but I guess Jennifer was even more strong headed than myself because she device a very cunning way to make me leave the house. Sometimes though, I do wonder what I can do without her, she is a friend indeed, in fact she was more than a friend to me and since she was older than me, I took her as a big sister.

It was weekend, Jennifer had already made preparations that even I was not aware of. I was still in bed having a good sleep after crying myself to bed after thinking of Josh... I know what must be your mind but you can't blame me for being a cry baby for someone who doesn't even care for me anymore. Like I was saying, while having a good sleep something felt so warm on my arms and I couldn't help but sleep a little longer enjoying the warmth and sweet fragrance... Hey sleepy head, at this point I already knew who it was... Of course it's Jennifer.

Wake up, we have somewhere to go to by noon... (still trying to say something I interrupted her)

By noon? Where? You know I don't want to go out, at least not yet... I said while stretching my body and also yawning.

Well girl, you don't want to miss this... Jenny said.

Hmm, why are you so confident that I would not want to miss it, I said while adjusting back on my warm sofa hugging my pillow tightly.

You see, the thing is, the place we are going to for the weekend, I heard Josh will be there too, Jenny said.

Really!!! I exclaimed as I threw myself from the bed and fell to the ground and not even caring if I had even fell.

Yes, Jenny chuckled.

Okay...fine I will go, I will go, I said happily.

I quickly hurried to my wardrobe to get some few things for the weekend but too bad I don't have good clothes for the weekend, I just bowed my face in disappointment and when I turned to Jenny, I saw some really beautiful and sexy clothes on the bed.

Don't worry girl, I got you!! Jenny said with a cool smile on her face.

Thank you so much Jenny, I owe you one, I said while rushing to the bathroom to get my bath.

After taking my bath, I realized my hair was unkempt since I haven't made it since the past month. While I was about to tell Jenny about it, she quickly brought me close and dressed my hair and also added some makeup to my face. Jenny seem to have been prepared all her life for this weekend and I felt so much like a queen because I got almost everything I needed.

Okay girl, it's time to go, Jennifer said as she flipped my chair so I could look at myself in the mirror. I was wowed at what I saw, I actually did crush on myself, hehe.

We both took our bags and all that we needed and we made a grand exit from the house, feeling like goddess, lolz. We arrived at a resort, the coolest thing was that the resort just opened and that day was the first opening and they gave off discount for the first 50 persons to make reservations and Jenny was able to get two slots for both of us. Since it was a new resort in town, it was very obvious that Josh would be there because that was one of his hobbies.

We went to our room and unpacked our things and since it was already evening, we went to the club and that was were I saw Josh but I so regretted the fact that I did. Josh was like every girl's crush at the party and he seemed to care less about it, he did not even looked my way for once even when he knew I was there. I had actually thought of getting back together with him but it turned out I was still having my fantasy dream. I was feeling so bad that I had to drink more because of the hurt I felt. While dancing under the influence of alcohol, I felt someone trying to take advantage of me and I tried to move away but the person was stronger than me, I called out to Jenny but she was no where to be found and the club was so loud because of the music.

Still trying to get away from whoever that was, I heard a voice asking the person holding me to let go.

Who are you to tell me what to do? The strange guy asked the other strange guy who came to my rescue

She says you should let her go, why are you trying to force yourself on her? My savior asked.. his voice was just so calm but vibrant.

Well it's obvious you want some trouble and that's what you are going to get...the strange guy said as he pushed me away to hit the guy that came to save me.

I was so drunk that I was not able to see the face of the one that saved me, neither the face of the one that was trying to force himself on me, I actually passed out. Before I knew what was going on, I was in our hotel room with Jenny who was sitting beside me.

Ouch.. What happened to me? My head feels so heavy I said.

You had too much to drink last night, Jenny said.

Oh right! I said feeling ashamed of myself.

You were really lucky, a guy at the club almost took advantage of you but some other guy stood up for you , Jenny said in a worried tone. This was all my fault, I left you...

Stop it Jenny, it was not your fault, I brought this upon myself, so stop feeling guilty, please. I gave Jenny a very tight hug just to make her feel better. How can you be feeling guilty for what I caused? I continued.

The weekend was over and we went home but I couldn't stop thinking of the person that saved me, the weekend was a really long one and it was this weekend I met the person of my dreams and I couldn't get the chance to even thank him. I really do hope I get to see him again.
