EVERY ART HAS IT’S PLACE

Art for me is a science. I’m not sure which kind of science but then, it is something that can be valued by most people or few. I have heard a lot of songs that resonate well with so many people effortlessly but there are others that just a few find meaning to and that goes for every other thing that has art in them, like food, paintings, building, drawings, making clothes, and so much more. For me, I believe there is art in everything. Art is just a form of anything. Even nature is a work of art and art itself. Let’s not even talk about then human physiology and anatomy.

According to the hivelearners topic for the 2nd edition, BAD ART, we are asked to share our thoughts on whether or not there are bad arts. To be honest, most times we see something as bad because we already know of something way better than that. We don’t always do it consciously though but it happens, our minds and bodies are drawn to something than another, though they maybe similar and that’s because we have seen something more unique about one than the other. It could be the style of that art or the thought of the artist behind the art but it is just not your regular kind of art and that’s why some art stand out than others.

For me, I’ll say using “bad art” to classify it is rather too harsh so I’ll put it this way. Art is something that everyone can create because I believe as humans, we are creative beings so no one lacks the art of creating art or the ability to admire one. They only just don’t know it yet or they haven’t seen the kind of art that relate well with them or give them a sort of purpose. I believe that there are so many work of arts today and it is going to be a bad art from an artist who is yet to discover what he or she is creative at. Or when they first tried to create such an art. But with more practice, if they are truly interested in such art, they will be able to learn how to be good at it.

For me, an art will only be bad when a person is just so focused on living someone else’s dream and not theirs. Also, when a person is not willing to learn and still wants to create a particular art just because they like it or want to impress others. Not everyone can create a particular art and not everyone can enjoy a particular art too. Some art works can only be made by some while the others are to admire it or taste it as in the case of food being an art. It is fine to be in the audience sometimes. You don’t always have to be in the spotlight unless you have mastered your art well. And that is because, getting it wrong might hinder someone from loving such art and you don’t want that.

If we truly love any art, it shows by how much we want the best to be showcased and not by just the one we have made. So many artist are more concerned about how to be in the spotlight and they make a particular art lose credibility in the eyes of someone. Art in itself is beautiful. But there are some people that are talented in bringing out the best in different arts. It is okay to learn how to be good in a particular art but always make sure to learn first before trying to showcase such arts because someone somewhere might have seen something better and to them, your work of art might not be up to their standards but then, there are still others that will appreciate your work as long as it is made with your best.

The whole point is, yes, it is possible to have a bad art but that could be because such artist is either still learning or just don’t know what they are good at. But over all, most art works are just looking bad because we have either seen something better or because we just don’t have a clear sense of judgement of such artwork.
