MY FIRST BOOK PURCHASE

Becoming a book lover seems like me opening a new chapter of my life. It feels unusually good and I’m really looking forward to what this chapter of my life has in store for me. I ended the past year with me mapping out a few things I will like to achieve before this year ends and at some point, I thought I won’t be able to read any book at all because I wasn’t sure of where to start from and there was really no one who will hold me accountable for not keeping my own side of the bargain except myself.

It’s already the fourth month of the year and interestingly, I have read 1/2 book(s) still trying to complete the second one. That is because the book is in sections and since I’m done with the section that I was interested in, I’m finding it hard to explore the other sections but I’m definitely going to do that when I’m ready. For now, I’m just happy that I’m making little progress towards achieving my goals of reading at most 12 books before the year ends. I’m not sure if I will be able to read those 12 books but I’m glad I have completely read one book.

Just last week, on my way for a class, I came across a temporary book display spot and I was tempted to stop by even without having any book in mind to buy. It was so because they are not permanently stationed there. Well, I got inside the tent and looked around to see if I will see any book that will magically just get my attention. After looking for some minutes, I started feeling a little bit uncomfortable because everyone that came there before me has left. because I was seeing a lot of books but they look quite expensive and I didn’t plan spending too much unplanned for and I also did not want to leave there without getting any book too.

While searching through some pile of books, I saw this book with quite an interesting title. I brought it out only to see it was a fictional story. That was the last kind of book I wanted to read but for the fact that it got my attention, I asked how much and it was something within my budget. For the records, it is going to be my first book I’m purchasing with my money and I really hope it would be worth the buy. I have read some fictional books before and it wasn’t so bad and I’m hoping this one won’t disappoint me. Well, for some reason, I have a good feeling about this book and that’s because it is my first book, hehe.

The book is titled “LOVE WAITS” by Gerri Hill. I haven’t read any books by Gerri before but his name looks familiar. Have you read any of his books before? Or have you read this particular book before? If yes, then I think it will be worth the read. I don’t want any spoilers, just say a yes or a no and also let me know if you would randomly buy a book like me to read too without making any research about the book or the author.

I plan to start reading the book immediately after my first semester examination which is coming up next month. I’m very sure if everything goes well, it won’t take me up to a week to finish the book. But, let’s see how it goes. I’m just so happy and proud to be a book owner, lol.
