PIMP MY STYLE

I remember how I moved from wearing earrings to not wearing for a while now. Not because I don’t like them, I just enjoy that transformation every now and then. And it’s part of the ways I make myself feel at ease with the so many attention for beauty. I know I’m beautiful and I don’t need anyone to tell me that even though I appreciate the compliments. I just don’t want those compliments to get to my head too much in a way that I always want to get validation from others and not putting so much effort into how I look is one of the ways I do that. Because I don’t expect too much then.

For transformation Thursday, one thing I recently transformed about myself was my style. It’s more of an upgrade though. In my first year in school, I had this back bag I used which was quite stylish and comfortable to use. But in between the session, I got a tote bag which I thought I needed because I was tired of carrying my back bag all the time as it was making me carry too much weight on my back. The tote bag came in handy but then, it didn't particularly gave me what I wanted and that was when I started working on an upgrade which I did on my birthday this year.

While this particular bag cost me more than the others, I was really happy for the purchase because it is a bag that will last me for a really long time and besides that, it has improved my overall style of clothing. I still wear my old clothes but the touch of this hand bag changes everything. It makes me look more feminine and classy no matter the dress I’m wearing.

This transformation is one that I’m so proud of because it gave me this added charisma to how I present myself out there. It makes me feel more confident in myself. It’s actually quite interesting how just an handbag could do all this for me. I have actually persuaded myself for long to stick with more simpler things like my tote bag for a while but I’m happy I could consider this change.

Most times it’s easy for me to get all carried away with my simple self that I don’t see the need for transformations like this because I think it is adding to my list of clutters which it is, hehe. Anyways, I have plans of giving out the back bag when I see someone that needs it. And as for the tote back, I use it for keeping some valuable things for now until I get a better place to keep them and I can also give it out to someone who needs it better by that time than allowing it just lie around messing up my space.
