Wow, it's a good thing you decided to go for the meet up anyways because what technology is doing to us nowadays ehn, me self I'm surprised. Have you heard this song, sound of silence? It was sang in that popular series film Into the bad lands, the song talks about how people now focus their attention on the neon light (it could be our phones, pc or TV) and forget about the people that are even around them, sadly.

You broke protocol abeg and coped with the fact that you almost thought of the cost to get there. Overall it's obvious you and your friend enjoyed your time together.
