SELFLESS LOVE

So many times I've struggled with the problem of telling people "I love them" and that's hard for me because my definition of love differs from what so many others see it as. So that brings us to the next question, "What is love?" Love to me is an act of being thoughtful and uncompromised towards someone. Hmm, that's not what you'd say love is right? Well I totally understand you and that's why I'd dive in deeper to explain why my definition of love is different.

Love is not just an emotion or a strong feeling as we define it in our dictionary. There is more to love than it being just an emotion or a very strong feeling towards someone. When we say the word Love, the first thing that should come to anyone's mind is the action and not just the word. Love for me, doesn't have to be said to someone for it to be valid, it is only valid when your actions tells it. Like they say, action speaks louder than words.

I can tell someone I love them and I find it so hard to tell them they are wrong when they are, I just leave them to have their way with anything they want to do whether good or bad. Because we think that if we love someone, we should always accept whatever they do even when it is obviously not good and that is because we think it would make us look like someone that doesn't really love them but that is not true at all.

It is only someone that loves us that can take the pain of telling us we are wrong when we are just to make sure he or she helps you not a mistake you might regret later.

A friend indeed is someone that loves his friend and that's because he shows his love by his or her actions. Love is not selfish, so when love has an advantage of something, it always looks for a way to share any good thing with those around him or her without expecting something in return. Having love for someone means willing to let go of what you really want for the next person so if you can't do that, then I don't think you love the person yet.

There are more things to what love is that I'd be sharing about from time to time but for today I'd love to focus just on the fact that love is not selfish. So you can look forward to more!
