THE LITTLE THINGS MAKE UP THE BIG THINGS

Hello there, I'm so pleased to welcome you to my blog once again. It's weekend already and today I will be answering one of the questions from the blogging ideas given for this week. The topic is focused on minimalist activities that can help improve our ecosystem and today I will be giving some tips on how I contribute to the improvement of the ecosystem. I'm still a growing minimalist if you ask me because I still live with people who are ignorant to what being a minimalist truly means and how it helps in different aspects of our lives which also affects me at some point but then I still try as much as I can to share my minimalist practices with them.

As a minimalist, one way I try to help our ecosystem is to avoid unnecessary movement. I know to some it sounds funny but then it is a very good way to help our ecosystem. There are so many people out on every corners doing almost nothing and there by increasing the population at a particular place, as a minimalist, I always try my best to avoid busy places because in those places there is always limited amount of oxygen and more of carbon which is not good for our ecosystem and also for us.

What I'm trying to say in essence is, as minimalist, we should try as much as possible to avoid going to crowded places like markets, malls and even church meeting places that are populated to some extent. The outbreak of the COVID19 was an eye opener to show us what damage overpopulation can cause to both our health and also our ecosystem. I know there are some times when we can't avoid being in these populated places but then we should be time conscious. We should avoid staying too long in places that has little or no ventilation.

As a minimalist also, I avoid making too much food just because I don't lack them, I always make sure to prepare what is needed at a particular time to avoid wastage. When preparing food as a minimalist, always try to know the number of people eating that food and how long you want it to last before preparing it to avoid you wasting any food. Disposing left over food is very unhealthy for our ecosystem, we should always try as much as possible to recycle food and other items than throwing them away as it will help keep our environment clean and healthy.

As a minimalist, I also do well to manage my electricity consumption. Whenever I'm not using the electric bulbs and ceiling fan, I always put them off to save more energy and this will help reduce the cost of my electricity consumption which is very helpful to our ecosystem also. Also I try my best to avoid using my cooking gas and also any kind of cooking methods too often as all of these support the production of carbon which is not good for our ecosystem. Reducing the use of all of these helps to improve our ecosystem even though it is in a minimal way.

Basically, as a minimalist all our activities should be one that helps improve our ecosystem especially the part that reduce the carbon footprints left by many of our uncalculated activities. Like the world minimalist, as long as you do most things at the minimal level, it will go a long way in making our world a better place for all of us and this is why I'd love to encourage everyone of us to try to cultivate a minimalist culture because it's a good way to help us all, just few persons can't achieve all of these no matter how dedicated they are but when we all do this together, we will easily see good results.

These are a few of many things I do that I believe helps in a little way and I hope you find this useful and also be a partaker of it to help heal our world and you can also do well to share your own experiences and ideas with us. I will love to invite @quduus1 and @sperosamuel15 to check out the challenge and hopefully share some ideas with us.

Until next time, stay AWESOME!!!

That was well constructed post

If everyone should learn from what you are doing, I think it will really skyrocket us to a greater height.

Especially on that issue of overcrowding where half of the persons are not there to do anything at all.
Great post

That's it oo, if only we can just do what we really want when it's needed things will be a little better. Some people just leave their houses to go to places that are already crowded just for some selfish reasons.

Issorite, but it's very possible for a foodie to be a minimalist, you just have to start controlling your appetite little by little.

I am also not a fan of crowded places as I easily get irritated. And this year, my goal is to save my electricity consumption too. I often choose to work outside our house where I can feel more fresh air, than stay inside my room for work and then use the fan the whole day.

It's a good idea to go out sometimes to take some fresh air than staying indoor all day.

Thank you for stopping by and also sharing your thoughts with me, it's a great pleasure having you here.

I do agree with the stated minimalist practices, especially the food aspect and not staying in crowded areas. Well done, Sis.

Wow. Electricity has to be the most costly utility in Nigeria right now and making the most of it can be rather tricky. You enumerate really helpful points.

You're absolutely right, it's hard to have electricity so when we do we just want to use it to the Maximum but then we are only hurting ourselves.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your comment dear

I usually agree with what I read in your post, but I'm questioning taking Minimalism as far as to "minimize unnecessary movements." (I think it's good for you, but I don't know if it's good in general.) I do try to avoid crowded places, but I'm not sure about making it a way of life.

I can get by being minimalist with food, that's healthy.

Even as much as I do try to avoid crowded places, it will be hard to completely avoid it because we have to be in a crowded place once in a while, sometimes it's unavoidable.

Well, I won't say it can become a way of life for me either because I'm all about people but I just try my best to be at a particular place when I should.

Thank you so much for your contribution and support, I'm truly grateful 🙏❤️.

Reading the article, I got a more unrealistic impression than it actually is. Being minimalist at everything will optimize the fun out of your life, so it's nice to know when to be and not be a minimalist. Good luck~

By the way, I forgot to tag you in the post itself, our conversation earlier inspired this: https://ecency.com/hive-118554/@ahmadmanga/minimalism-multiple-colors-or-hive

Hahaha, I don't think it would take out the fun part of my life by being a minimalist, it will only help me have fun more responsibly. Having fun is good but if it has too much bad effects, it's best to work on it and there are other ways one can do that if you don't want to be a minimalist but I'm not sure what they are, lolz.

Yeah, thank you so much for Sharing it with me 🥰
