HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 119 || ONLY LOVE BY JORDAN SMITH (COVER)

This is week 119 of Hive open mic and it has been a really beautiful week for me. I have been searching for a song that fits well with this week's theme and I remembered a song I've always loved listening to which was sang by Jordan Smith titled ONLY LOVE.

According to this week's theme, PREJUDICE, this song talks about how we are judged and we judge others as well and it makes strife and envy to be among us and all these happens because we lack love for one another. In this song the artist was able to make us understand the importance of love in our world today.

Now we only love those who love us, sometimes even if someone loves us we still won't even want to show them love too. The love that is supposed to be among us keeps dying everyday and we are kind of relaxed 😏 and that's why things keeps going west sadly. The sooner we start growing our love for one another, the better for all of us.

We need each other to survive, our planet needs us to survive too. The less we love ourselves, the more harm we bring to our planet, in fact to the universe at large. You might be wondering how that is possible well it is. Let's take for example, my friend has a leakage in his vehicle and the petrol was dropping little by little and because we were no longer in good terms, I refused to tell him about it.

On his way, he saw that his petrol has gone down and he stopped at the filling station to fill up his tank and at that point, someone careless with cigarette dropped his cigarette in the floor since he was in a station and the petrol that was leaking got to it, what do you think will happen then? Bomb 💣😱.

It will not just affect your friend that you are not in good terms with, it will affect many other people too and even our ecosystem will feel it as well.

Having preconceptions about people won't be there if we just love ourselves. We can correct but in love, even when we encourage others, it should also be in love. And this is one of the reasons I chose this song because it talks about most of what I just said above.

Last week, in the Dreemport-Ecency challenge, we were challenged to spread love across the blockchain and it was just so fun and fulfilling to see that a little show of love could lightened up someone's mood. Also my beloved @unklebonehead also challenged us too in a way by leading with example how we can lead with generosity using the hastag, #leadingwithgenerosity. Show someone love today and be happy, be a rainbow in someone's cloud 🌈☁️.
