Indoctrination teaching day 1 held on 10:01:2022
Here are the importance points I learnt from the teaching:
The Bible warned us against strange doctrine.
Matthew 28:19-20 our duty is to keep spreading the gospel to all nations of the earth, we are to keep teaching the gospel even to the end of our time.
The first doctrine Christ taught us in the Bible is baptism. It is not in the commandments but it is the doctrine of Jesus Christ.
The doctrine must be examine, we should not accept what is not written in the Bible.
1 Corinthians 14:37 anyone who fail to acknowledge the doctrine of Christ is not a true prophet. The doctrine of Christ must be accepted by everyone who believe in Him. We can't say we believe in Christ and not accept his doctrine.
After accepting the word of Christ then we should be baptized.
Baptism is a formal act of joining the church.
Galatians 1:13,22 Paul was a prosecutor of the church he was an enemy of the christians but he was called and baptized in the church. After that he became a useful instrument ( the gospel pusher) in the church.
Baptism is a prove of becoming a member of the church. Act 2:41 the word of God must be accepted with gladness and pure heart. The people accepted the word of God and were glad, this should be our lifestyle, 3000 people received the word of Christ in a day. We shouldn't be ashame to tell the gospel to the world.
We are not to reject the word of God when we reject the word we reject Christ. Only those who received the word will be added to the church.
Acceptance of the church is a doctrine of Christ.
The church is an eternal purpose of God, it is an institution established by God.
The church in the Bible has no end.
Ephesians3;6 we are all partakers of God's promise, we are the fellow heirs of Christ body, and the body is the church what we belong to as members. Christ has purchased the church with His blood.
Evey one created by God is for His glory.
Whatever belongs to God is called by His name, for example, the church of God, the Angel of God, man of God.
MY FORMER BELIEVE
I used to think baptism is not too necessary that accepting Christ as your Lord and savior is enough.
HOW THE TEACHING AFFECTS ME?
In my daily life I will use the opportunity I have to tell everyone around me about the doctrine of Christ and that baptism is very important for every child of God.
