Fear - Miedo

With almost 5 years of permanence in the hive, it can be said that I am more than accustomed to the fluctuations in cryptocurrency prices, something that I learned through blows and disappointments, mainly in the early days when my publications raised a considerable amount. Those were the times when Steem was trading at almost $7 per unit.

That bonanza did not last long, just a couple of months, and then came a very long and pronounced fall, painful as well.

Up and down

Since then a lot of water has flowed under the bridge and we have had good rallies, mainly or almost exclusively, rather, accompanying the bitcoin rallies.
Never again did Steem and then Hive reach those values, it was a soap bubble that burst, I have never seen a bubble that after disappearing re-formed.

But I am straying a bit from the main topic, I said that I have experience in these ups and downs of cryptocurrencies and I am used to it, but yesterday for the first time in a long time I experienced fear.

The last resonant cases

I have been observing how some things have changed since the notorious case of the collapse of FTX. A few days ago I announced in a thread on this platform that a Chinese exchange that intended to establish itself in Latin America has also blocked withdrawals and there is a great possibility that it will close permanently. . Here in my country, the Quantia exchange (which is not one of the main ones and does not have too many users) has suspended withdrawals and the launch of an app for phones that it had announced days before.

The Tether case

However, what worries me the most is the series of dramatic news about stablecoins, mainly Tether, to which some social networks have been announcing its imminent fall. Of course, it doesn't help that she's been fined and watched on a few occasions for lying about her real reserves.

Impulse

I don't know how right they are or if there is just a majority of false and tendentious news with unclear motives, but yesterday I saw some of that again and I parted with some USDT that I had on Binance, impulsively, without thinking twice, acting pure and simple. clearly because of the fear that this constant appearance of adverse forecasts on that subject gave me.

Perhaps that is the objective of some, to get smallholders like me to part with their assets to appropriate them for those who have the most, the truth is that I don't know and I don't think many are clear on that.

Irrational?

The truth is that fear won the battle for me.

I don't know what you will think of this but I would sincerely like to read some opinions about it.
