One of the largest exchanges in the crypto world, I mean Binance, is already very active in anticipating the "change" in Ethereum.

Anticipating change

We know that the new consensus protocol that will be used from the promoted and until now unrealized Ethereum Merge, that is, the PoS or proof of stake, will require that to enter the business as a validator, a minimum of 32 ETH must be staked. This leaves many potential stakeholders out of the game and definitively changes miners' investment and work scheme up to now.

The advantages put forward by those responsible for the project are varied and we already know them, I have written about them on a couple of occasions, however, this matter of the minimum quantity makes quite a lot of noise and from the foundation, they have come out to say that of course There is the possibility of creating groups of investors who pool their ETH and together form a validator.

Investor groups

Binance has been working on this idea for a long time and is already advertising to its users (for now only in the United States) an Ethereum staking program with an annual return of up to 6%. To participate in the program, it is only necessary to have a comfortable sum of 0.001 ETH, which allows all its users and investors to enter.

Conditions and risks

Of course, there are some conditions and the most important is that Ethereum finally changes from PoW to PoS consensus protocol, as long as this happens, the investment in Binance will work, but nobody will be able to withdraw the funds, and even less the interest.

Another detail that those interested in investing in this new program should consider is the risk, due to the complexity of the change, that the merger and network change will be delayed or fail, in which case the chances of a late return and even the loss of invested capital come into play decisively.

Pray or jump into the pool

The good news is that almost 75% of the Ethereum nodes are OK and ready for the merger, the bad news is that 20% of the nodes are still out of sync, and the rest are in the final stages.

So we come to the decision friends if you want to be a validator of the new network, but you have to do it by pooling your coins with others, you can do it now with this tool or wait for the merger to be successful and only then take the step.

Although the world of cryptocurrencies is not for the faint of heart, with so many other investments out there, I will wait and leave my 0.001 ETH sleeping somewhere. And let it be what Vitalik wants.
