Rice, always rice (ENG - ESP)
One of the most vivid and funny memories of my childhood was the day my mother served lunch for the whole family, I think it was Sunday since my father worked from Monday to Saturday, and that noon he was sitting at the table with my brothers and me too.
He was carrying in his hands a large steaming bowl overflowing with rice with tomato sauce on top. My youngest brother, who at that time would have been about 4 or 5 years old, upon seeing the bowl exclaimed: "rice, always rice!" claim mode because it was a repeated meal at that time, they were hard times and my father's salary was barely enough for food and without great waste and selection of components. He ate what was available and one of the cheapest foods at that time was precisely rice.
Of course, we are not Oriental and this cereal is the base of many foods in that region and in other parts of the world, for example here in Latin America, although, for some reason that is beyond my knowledge, it is not so common in my country.
A few years ago when the Venezuelan immigration began, I found out that they eat a lot of rice and that it is the base of several typical dishes. At that moment I discovered that in other countries in the region, it is also a widely consumed food, but not here, and my little brother The younger one pointed it out to my mother in that particular way, now I think the phrase was funny, although at that time my parents must not have been too amused, they knew that their economic situation did not allow them a great variety of food.
If you weren't bored and read this far, you will think, what is this about?
It's simple, the value of today's Hive made me remember that phrase, once again the sharp and painful depreciation of the currency, repeated, as on so many other occasions.
Of course, the curse of the BTC that has us tied to its invisible chain is present again and when it goes down, the Hive goes down. I am aware that not only our token falls in price, but practically all the others also copy the downward curve of BTC, however, my grandmother said that the evil of many was a consolation for fools. Why does it always have to be like this? If it happens to the others, why doesn't it have to happen to the Hive? It's a fool's comfort.
It is because of things like this that I always distrust when we are told that Hive owns a Web 3 concept that few can argue, okay, as a statement it is wonderful, but for real purposes, it would seem that nobody else cares about that. those who affirm it and to a large extent those of us who belong to the community.
I have repeated on several occasions that we cannot be wonderful if we only say so ourselves, it is like my mother saying that I am beautiful, of course, for mothers their children are, because they love us, but others see reality.
Today I am frustrated, as many times before, it is a logical reaction that I think most understand and live firsthand, seeing that our account had hodl 5 days ago double what we have now hurt. Leo also had the same behavior.
It is probably a distinctive and unavoidable characteristic of cryptocurrencies, the instability for which we are so punished from the entire traditional financial field. It must be concluded that they are quite right.
It is difficult to get used to these ups and downs, and even though I have been in the community for more than 5 years and have seen the same thing happen on several occasions, it seems that I will never get used to it.
It is something similar to what happens with inflation in my country.
Obviously, I don't have any solution to this issue, as it is also evident that no one else does, once again we will have to take a deep breath and wait for the storm to pass, and for those who don't like rice, go find other less harsh horizons.
Arroz, siempre arroz
Uno de los recuerdos más vivos y graciosos de mi infancia fue el día que mi madre sirvió el almuerzo para toda la familia, creo que era domingo dado que mi padre trabajaba de lunes a sábados y ese mediodía estaba sentado a la mesa junto a mis hermanos y yo.
Traía entre sus manos en una gran fuente humeante y rebosante de arroz con salsa de tomate encima, mi hermano más pequeño que en ese momento tendría unos 4 o 5 años, al ver la fuente exclamó: “¡arroz, siempre arroz!”, a modo de reclamo porque era una comida repetida en aquella época, eran momentos duros y el sueldo de mi padre apenas alcanzaba para la comida y sin gran derroche y selección de componentes. Se comía lo que había y uno de los alimentos más baratos de aquel momento era justamente el arroz.
Por supuesto no somos orientales y ese cereal es base en muchas comidas en aquella región y en otras partes del mundo por ejemplo aquí en Latinoamérica, aunque por alguna razón que escapa a mi conocimiento no es tan común en mi país.
Pocos años atrás cuando comenzó la inmigración venezolana, me enteré que ellos comen mucho arroz y que es la base de varios platos típicos, en ese momento descubrí que en otros países de la región también es un alimento muy consumido, pero no aquí y mi hermanito más pequeño se lo hizo notar a mi madre de esa manera tan particular, ahora creo que la frase fue graciosa aunque en ese momento a mis padres no les debe haber hecho demasiada gracia, sabían que su situación económica no les permitía una gran variación de alimentos.
Si no se aburrieron y leyeron hasta aquí pensarán, ¿a qué viene esto?
Es sencillo, el valor del Hive del día de hoy me hizo recordar esa frase, otra vez la depreciación de la moneda de manera brusca y dolorosa, repetida, como en tantas otras oportunidades.
Por supuesto, nuevamente se hace presente la maldición del BTC que nos tiene atados a su cadena invisible y cuando baja, baja el Hive. Soy consciente que no solamente nuestro token baja de precio, prácticamente todos los demás copian la curva descendente del BTC, sin embargo, mi abuela decía que mal de muchos era un consuelo para los tontos. ¿Por qué tiene que ser siempre así? Si le pasa a las demás ¿por qué no tiene que pasarle al Hive? Es un consuelo de tontos.
Es por cosas como esta que siempre desconfío cuando nos dicen que Hive es propietario de un concepto de Web 3 que pocos pueden argüir, está bien, como declaración es maravillosa, pero a los efectos reales parecería que eso no le importa a nadie más que a los que lo afirman y en una buena parte a los que pertenecemos a la comunidad.
He repetido en varias oportunidades que no podemos ser maravillosos si solo lo decimos nosotros mismos, es como mi madre que dice que soy hermoso, por supuesto, para las madres sus hijos lo son, porque nos aman, pero los demás ven la realidad.
Hoy estoy frustrado, como muchas veces antes, es una reacción lógica que creo la mayoría comprende y vive en carne propia, ver que nuestra cuenta tenía hodl hace 5 días el doble de lo que tenemos ahora duele. El Leo tuvo también el mismo comportamiento.
Probablemente sea una característica distintiva e inevitable de las criptomonedas, la inestabilidad por la cual tanto nos castigan desde todo el ámbito financiero tradicional. Hay que concluir en que tienen mucha razón.
Es difícil acostumbrarse a estos vaivenes, y eso que llevo más de 5 años en la comunidad y he visto repetirse esto mismo en varias oportunidades, parece que jamás me acostumbraré.
Es algo parecido a lo que ocurre con la inflación en mi país.
Obviamente no tengo ninguna solución a este asunto, como también es evidente que no la tiene nadie, una vez más tendremos que respirar hondo y esperar que la tormenta pase, y al que no le guste el arroz que se vaya a buscar otros horizontes menos ríspidos.
