Considerations after one year on Hive!

Hello friends, today I want to share some reflections on my experience on Hive. It has been about a year since I started using this platform and I have published about 1159 posts. True, my profile had been created earlier, but I decided to observe and understand how Hive worked before I started actively posting.

I was lucky enough to earn about 1,331.25 HP and 718.01 HBD during my time on Hive. I have never withdrawn these funds, not because I don't need them, in fact I could use them for many things, but because I truly believe in the Hive project and want to continue to support it. I think Hive is a unique platform and has great potential, so I would rather invest my earnings in this community than withdraw them.

Currently, in my opinion, the value of Hive is low due to the fact that we are in a bear market. Under these conditions, it does not make sense, from my point of view, to convert Hive into fiat currency. However, it is important to emphasise that this is only my opinion and each person is entitled to have their own thoughts on this matter. It is only right that everyone assesses their own goals and preferences and acts accordingly. In any case, despite the current market situation, I remain optimistic about Hive's future and will continue to support it.

Hive is not only a blogging and content sharing platform, but also an investment opportunity. Accumulating a large amount of Hive gives you the opportunity to curate more posts, thus increasing your earnings through curation rewards. This is definitely a positive aspect of the platform, as it offers an additional earning opportunity to its users. Unlike traditional social networks like Facebook and Instagram, where most of the income goes to the content creator, on Hive users who participate in curation can earn through the rewards system.

Within Hive there are many people like me who use the platform not only to earn money, but also to create content and share their passions and interests. For example, I use Hive to share the places I visit, DIY tutorials to teach someone something, or even make-up tutorials. Fortunately, within the platform, there is a large component of people who create content for dissemination and to make their classic social profiles known. This makes Hive a dynamic and diverse platform where everyone can find something interesting and actively participate in the community.

In this year I have had the opportunity to get to know some communities within Hive that are constantly expanding. For example, @pinmapple is a great community because it gives different people who have the hobby of travelling, but maybe also do it full time, the opportunity to share their content and also earn something to invest in the trip. I find this very innovative compared to classic social networks, where to earn money you have to reach a certain volume of views or a certain number of subscribers and it always depends on the algorithm and the rules imposed by the platform. Instead, PINmapple gives you more possibilities of earning money regardless of the number of views or subscribers.

The thing I liked most about PINmapple is the fact that posts not only end up within the Hive blockchain, but also within a map. This can be very useful for those who are planning a trip, as they can read the traveller's first-hand experience. This was something I also wanted to do with my YouTube channel, but then I realised that it is very complicated and I understand that there is a lot of work underneath this project. The combination of Hive's blockchain and PINmapple's map makes this community unique and innovative, and I am happy to be part of it.

Of course, I have noticed that within the community, the heaviest and most valuable votes are given by heavyweight investors who are within the community and Hive to invest in it. It is important that these people support the content creators, as they are the base of the community and without them there would be nothing to see or read. Moreover, this support from weight investors not only helps the content creators to earn more money, but also to grow the community and make Hive an increasingly attractive platform for all users.

Of course, the other community I am attached to is the Italian @oliodibalena community, which I have noticed is developing quite well in the last period. Although, in my opinion, Hive is still quite far away for the Italian world. I don't know if this is due to the fact that in Italy crypto is mainly seen as an easy investment and therefore these crypto-related social networks are seen as a waste of time. This is something I've heard from some youtubers who talk about crypto, and I hope that in the future there will be a change in mentality and that more and more people will start to discover the value of this platform and communities like Olio di Balena.

Of course, I realised that the strength of Hive is also linked to the fact that there are so many game communities. Indeed, there are games on this blockchain that have sprung up and have attracted more and more people, and I had also started to play something myself, but I personally am not so attracted to these things, but it's nice that they are there, because they also contribute to making Hive known.

Of course, I also liked the @threespeak project, which I see as an alternative to YouTube. In fact, I hope it will grow more and more in terms of development. Threespeak uses Hive's blockchain technology to ensure transparency, fairness and freedom of expression. It also allows users to earn money for creating and sharing their content. The thing I like most about threespeak is that it is a decentralised platform, which means there is no central authority controlling the content and users have full control over their data. I hope that in the future more and more people will discover threespeak and that it will become a viable alternative to the big social networks and video platforms.

I also hope that there will be an initiative by some developer to be able to spend their Hive and Hive dollars faster, such as Celo's app where all you need is a phone number. It seems to me, but I wouldn't want to be wrong, that there are already some initiatives in this direction, such as the 'HivePay' project which aims to create a payment gateway for Hive and other cryptocurrencies. Its goal is to make it easy and convenient for users to make purchases using the cryptocurrencies supported by the platform.

So, in conclusion, in my opinion Hive is very revolutionary and I have realised this during my year of use. As I said, apart from being able to share my content, considering I'm not very good at writing and I'm not even good at making videos, I'm sure this platform has helped me as a creator. I think that's the most important thing about Hive, because it can be really revolutionary, even from an economic point of view. I have seen and could read that solidarity projects have also been created that have helped developing countries that would never have had access to the banking world. We have to see Hive from this point of view as well, and investors should too. I know it may sound complicated, but this is my thinking.
