Exploring the paths of the Berici Hills: a walk immersed in nature
Hi friends, in today's post I want to tell you about walking. I want to tell you about my day yesterday, in which I took advantage of the good weather to leave early in the morning and do my usual 10km. I will also show you some photos I took during the walk.
As usual, I moved to the Berici Hills area, where there are less demanding hills and many routes to do. I try to change often so as not to get bored. There is a wide variety of landscapes in this area, from hills to wilderness, which is why it is one of my favorite places to go for walks.
The thing that struck me when I arrived early in the morning was that there was a beautiful view of the Prealps, which are right next to my house. They were covered with snow because a few days ago it had snowed a lot in the area. It was quite a sight to see that snow-capped beauty. It was a truly suggestive scene and I couldn't not share these photos with you.
Of course, as usual when I go to these places early in the morning there are very few people. It's quite cold and most people come to walk here in the afternoon when it's a bit more sunny. As you have seen from previous posts, I like to go to these places when there are fewer people, to have more direct contact with nature. It is a truly special experience, being able to admire the landscapes in peace and tranquillity.
I tried, as usual, to follow a previous track that a friend of mine had pointed out to me and to follow the off-road trails, because I don't like walking on asphalt. I prefer to immerse myself in nature and discover new paths, even if sometimes it can be more difficult. But the beauty of the natural landscapes and the satisfaction of having traveled a less traveled path are always worth it.
Sometimes, nature tends to hide in these paths, especially if no maintenance work is done. You can find yourself walking in the wilderness, but I really like this. It allows me to feel more immersed in nature and have a more authentic experience. While it can be a little more challenging at times, it's always worth it.
We begin to climb along the path and we begin to see beautiful panoramas of the plain, but also of the snow-capped mountains far away. It's always exciting to see how the landscape changes as you go up and how you can admire breathtaking views. Walking in these places is truly one of my favorite activities.
At one point, I took a road that was only passable by tractors and found myself in a field of olive trees. As I already told you, it's a bit rare because lately in these parts there's only the cultivation of vines. It was interesting to see a change of crops and admire the beauty of these trees. It was a pleasant change from the usual vineyard view.
What I want to do through these posts is to show you what nature is like near where I live. I think it is essential on social networks to share one's experiences and what surrounds us. I hope these posts give you an idea of how beautiful nature can be even close to where we live and inspire you to get out and discover the places around you.
At one point along the way I found a cave that appears to be used as a storage room by someone. It's not the first time I've found this type of cave, also because as far as I understand, in these areas they were used as refuge areas. It is interesting to see how nature has been used in the past and how it can still be used for different purposes today. It is always interesting to discover these little treasures hidden in nature.
I finished my almost 10km long walk in a beautiful green meadow which I think is used for growing some vegetables. It was a pleasant way to end the walk, surrounded by natural beauty. After admiring this landscape, I decided to go back to the car to go home, because I still needed breakfast. It was a nice way to start the day, surrounded by nature and with a good dose of physical activity.
I hope you enjoyed this story of my walk and that you enjoyed the photos too. I hope this post has inspired you to get out and discover the places around you. Thank you for following my story and have a nice day. See you on the next walk!
it seems the place is so quiet, there are not many residents.

Molto belle queste zone. Non ci sono mai stato sui monti Berici, potrebbe essere una delle prossine mete da mettere in calendario
