5 Minute Freewrite - The Denial
All, doing a 5 minute freewrite. Thank you for reading.
Ever since her 10 year boyfriend left her, Jessie is no longer the same girl that many had known her for. Gone are the days where Jessie had a big radiant smile on her face, being the cheerful girl around and bring joy to others around her.
She refuse to accept the fact that her boyfriend had left her and he left because of him loving another girl. The denial that she felt within her still hopes that one day the guy will come back for her.
It breaks her friends' heart when they saw her in this state. They were thinking of something to cheer her up and make her forget about him, but somehow nothing worked. It was until a fellow classmate within her class suddenly approached her and said, "I've been secretly in love with you for year but dare not express my love for you because I knew you had a boyfriend. And with your boyfriend now becoming your ex, would you be willing to give me a chance?"
Will this be the beginning of a new romance or will she reject him and continue her denial days?
