۞ The Oasis Sanctuary ۞ Cultivating & Nurturing Sovereignty

Don't you remember at least one place where you walked in and you just felt a divine vibe surrounding you?
Be it indoors, outdoors, physical sensations or pure energy that you couldn't deny felt different just a moment ago?

There are such places when I was in my twenties that really impacted me, and I remember a friend's apartment that just felt like a temple, and a few events I've attended that really orchestrated a full on sensorially stimulating experience on different levels.

The Sahara Desert

But what really impacted me on a cellular level was the desert. Ironically, seen as a place deprived of sensorial stimulation, somehow it was completely different for me.
Maybe it's exactly the fact that our attention is not hijacked constantly with the visual and auditive stimulation of every day life in a common setting. I never knew silence until I stepped into the dunes.
It's profound, it's blanketing the outside world.
And it engulfs you into it's sandy embrace.

Yet, what I experienced there when I stayed for two weeks in the Sahara, being immersed in that huge part of Mother Nature, was a direct peace & ease into just being alive.
It was fascinating to experience myself alive and not needing to exist in the "world". Being in the desert, cut off from civilization, not having a role in society for these days, just felt like a new reality at that time.

I was on earth, walking up the rocky towers and yet nobody could reach me from outside. I was completely exposed to and immersed in everything in my vicinity. I had to forget the world anyway and just be where I was in that moment.
And it felt so peaceful, empowering, nothing else mattered.
Nothing was important if it was not in front of me right now.
There was no other way anyway to be somewhere else.

The desert felt so rich and healing. Also there are many settlements along the river banks that are lush and are the real oasis'es.
The desert felt like a protector from the unnecessary and the superfluous.
The desert felt wise, warm and silent.
Omnipresent, omniscient and I was just it's extension.

The first time I trekked in the desert was during my burnout. I had never felt this pure acceptance & not worrying about anything because you are simply alive!
I wished I could create a place with such a vibe, and live there. As an artist, all I cared about really was to create with my hands. Drawing, painting, building, gardening, that's what I would love to do everyday without constraints. I had a few visions of a retreat kind of place with Art, lots of craftmanship and a vibrant garden that needs no boundaries! And it would be a place of love, any animal that likes to stay is more than welcome. The Oasis in my desire was a sanctuary for all that needed a place of peace.

When I met A.E.K. we naturally started to gravitate around such a project, but it was never concrete, as every time we wanted to move, God wanted it the other way.

So we just did with what was there; first we welcomed Shiva and Shakti, the two royal Pythons and created a lush ecosystem terrarium for each.
Also we found ourselves really inspired building in shells, wood, statues and tons of crystals and they became true temples.
I am absolutely in love with tropical flowers, so it was exciting to be able to try growing some of these in our climate and experiment with them. The plants that thrived the most were a Jasmin sambac, basilicum, turmeric, ginger, and a passionflower that I grew from a fruit last summer. Unfortunately it didn't flower yet..

The following spring, we created the two beehives and that was such a beautiful introduction for me to the Bee people. It was so fascinating to hear the way Rudolf Steiner or this blessed lady talked about them, as priestesses. And they are; sun beings they are mezmering beings, and their intelligence is humbling and put us in deep contemplations.
Creating those hives just reinforced the natural attraction of both of us toward living and creating with and in Nature, all the while making temple spaces for which ever living being is sent to us.

Having lived in a place that was very limiting in terms of creative freedom, and now integrating the fact that we are and always have been in the hands of God, feels like the releasing of the Gates toward an adventure!

Unleashing the skills the both of us have acquired so far into a place that has no boss is really a dream come true.

We are by no means experts, but we are human. And humans can be pretty ingenious, especially when they're joyful!

And since childhood I loved finding creative solutions to practical things, crafting a Sanctuary is a project that would let me immerse myself totally in Nature with my intuitive abilities.

Also it will be really interesting how the dynamic between us will develop by making Art as a way of life, tending to our needs and the animals & plants around us, creatively find sovereign solutions for the property and our self-sufficiency, more than making "Art for sale" together. I'm really curious how it will develop and deepen our creativity as Artists.

This is my intimate story with Glorious Nature and Mother of us all here. Meeting her peace in the desert, and having been inspired by her to reunite with the living kingdoms on earth, including all so that we can create places where all live perfectly in harmony with each other; everyone has their place and is valued in the tapestry of life.

The Sanctuary is a vision of an oasis where all living thing can reclaim its Sovereignty, unimpeded, uninterfered, and above all where the supreme intelligence that permeates all can have a blast at co-creating with all of us.

This is an absolute connection with nature - just inspiring! many people view deserts as a death ring, not helped by many negative stories about deserts in the media. But your outlook was different. I loved those desert images. And, the Beehive, I have not seen one before in person. Yours look great and wont pass an opportunity to see it. Gorgeous flowers too. Amazing effort by you to create all of these.

This story is so nice you can share bits of it on Threads. Threads it like Twitter, but better. You can share short stories of 240 characters length about immersive experiences like the above. You make new friends, create engagement and of course, get the support from Hive garden on threads.

Why not try threads. take a look: https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads

Hey thank you very much, I appreciate you taking the time to read through it all, and your thoughtful comments 🙏🍀 Yes the desert felt like the supreme Mother, so deep one has to walk on its sand to feel it.. Hopefully you'll be able to visit once at least, it was a lifechanger 🔥

Yes creating with and in Nature has been a revelation, connecting creative Mind with the Heart in Nature is exciting and super expansive, looking forward to have creative freedom in the new place that we are heading to 🌺

Thanks for your suggestion, I shall use the threads more that's right, is there an app for Android?

Warm wishes have a blessed start of the week 🌞

Amazing I hope to make it a bucket list - visiting a desert someday.
Nature is supreme and when we try to align with it, we feel renewed.

That is beautiful. For now, you can use it on Android through the browser of HiveKeychain browser. I did a little tutorial you might find helpful on that: https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@fokusnow/fixing-the-new-ui-mobile-log-in-quick-solution

Let me know if you have any other challenging trying it
