Into the Underworld.

After saving captured souls at the mall, I finally defeated the pursuing Shine Dancers. Navigating past a corruption tree and climbing up to the Torii Gate, I stepped through an otherworldly bridge, emerging into a realm overrun by floating enemies and deep corruption.

I tried to ignore the Shine Dancers to get on my way at the restart. But at that mall, I found some demons trying to take away some souls in boxes, so I stopped them from doing it and I absorbed the spirits.

And the Shine Dancers found me again. So it looked like it was inevitable to fight them, and this time, I overwhelmed them with mass struggle to clear my path.

I used a close-by Tengu as a grapple hook to get to a rooftop. From what I noticed, the Torii Gate was not so far anymore, but I had to navigate to another side to get closer.

It looked like I needed to get to the bridge that was blocked by some demons and a corruption tree. After getting there, I took down all the demons and cleansed that area to clear the route.

Then it clicked eventually that I could use that bus as a support to get to that building's cornice. But I noticed a ladder was waiting to help me climb up smoothly.

Taking the ladder, I climbed up and reached the Torii Gate, and it looked like it was not merely a normal Torii Gate, but a bridge to the underworld.

After getting to the other side through the Torii Gate, I looked back and noticed there was nothing behind, as if I came out of nowhere into this altered space.

As I went ahead, I found some demons on the way that I had to take care of. When I went to another gate, I noticed the spot ahead was fully corrupted with a lot of corruption trees around, and there were some levitating enemies along with some wonderers guarding that place, which made it look like a hard job to take care of.

Those Shine Dancers really took rejection personally. No matter how hard you tried to ignore them, they somehow found their way back.
Probably.
Saving those trapped souls before dealing with the Shine Dancers was worth the detour. Now that the dancers are finally gone, I think the real danger is waiting.
Definitely.
That Torii Gate transition was a cool moment.😎 One second you're exploring the city, and the next you're crossing into a different realm, that feels awesome.
That's correct, awesome feel.

The moment you stepped through the Torii Gate and looked back, it was awesome. Seeing nothing behind you made it feel like you had crossed into a completely different world.
Actually, I really crossed into a completely different world.
I started playing this game a while ago and didn't finish it; the story and its progression discouraged me a bit. Now, the game seems more appealing through your photos than the game itself. I have another version of the same game, a bit more RPG-oriented, that I got as a gift from Epic; I haven't tried it yet, but maybe I will someday. Nice photos, by the way.
I guess you didn't get to the interesting parts or maybe you just have different taste cause I'm enjoying it so far.
