Sojutsuki was a tough boss.

Fighting the Hannya monster named Sojutsuki at Tokyo Tower, I discovered fire elemental attacks were effective. After an initial defeat where the monster ripped Akito out of my body and sent me back to the elevator, I retook the fight, skipped the cutscenes, and successfully pulled his core out to secure victory.

I stepped up to fight the Hannya monster named Sojutsuki, and quickly realized that fire elemental attacks worked best against him.

After landing several heavy hits, I finally got a hold of his core. Despite being one of the most dangerous monsters around, he had no allies to back him up, yet he refused to yield.

He grew even stronger in his secondary form, gaining the ability to fly across the arena.
During the intense struggle, the monster managed to turn the tables and ripped Akito straight out of my body.

I fought to regain control and got Akito back, but the monster landed a fatal blow immediately afterward. The defeat sent me all the way back to the Tokyo Tower elevator.

The setback meant I had to ascend, confront Hannya, and restart the entire multi-phase boss fight from scratch. The lack of a midpoint checkpoint felt frustrating, but I was relieved to find a way to skip the cinematic cutscenes to jump straight back into the action.

I started the second attempt much stronger, quickly building momentum and grabbing his core early on. The monster returned at full power, floating through the air to launch fresh attacks.

I kept my fire elemental waves charged, releasing them the moment I had a clear shot. He put up a stubborn defense, but I refused to back down.

After a grueling exchange, I created a final opening, seized his core once more, and ripped it out to put an end to the fight for good. This was the second time fighting this monster when I failed to defeat him at the first time but this time, I made sure to send the devil back to its realm.
We'll continue in another post.

That first attempt looked like it had finally turned in your favor, then the monster suddenly stole the momentum and sent everything straight into disaster.
That first defeat really showed how dangerous Sojutsuki could be. Getting Akito ripped out and then being sent all the way back to the elevator was brutal. Thankfully, the second attempt went much better.
