Still, a long way to go.

After picking off a Lamentation and a Student of Pain with arrows, I cleansed a Torii gate and a cursed tree. I transferred the absorbed souls at a phone booth to clear my Katashiro, but was soon blindsided by two nightmares. After hunting a Kuchisake, I destroyed the nightmares but had to flee a heavily guarded Torii gate.

Before going for the Torii gate, I started shooting the Lamentation, and after taking it down, I shot down a Student of Pain as well with arrows from the distance.

And then I went for the Torii gate, and I cleansed it before claiming a bracelet from the temple there as a payment.

The corrupted tree was still needed my help, so I went to the site, and I cleansed it after taking down some Students of Misery, and then I absorbed the spirits that were stuck there.

I guessed I absorbed a lot of spirits already, so I used the phone booth to transfer some of them to make room in my Katashiro. I interacted with the modified telephone to send the souls safety to Ed.

Then I climbed up on that high ground to absorb the spirit, and after getting to another roof, I stopped there to check on the giant that was in a lot of distance from me. This scene remembered me that I still had a long way to go.

I floated to another roof to absorb some spirits, but right after I reached there, two nightmares appeared out of nowhere and they took me down before I could escape.

When I was getting back to that roof to take care of those nightmares, I noticed this Kuchisake on the ground level, so I jumped down and I took it down first, where I had to dodge her large scissors before shattering her core.

I went back on that roof and those nightmares tried to take me down once more, but this time I didn't let them. Instead, I took them down.

Then I reached close to the next Torii gate I would cleanse, but it looked like it was guarded by a lot of demons around, so I started shooting them with arrows peacefully until they noticed me and they came close to attack me brutally that I had to flee.

We'll continue in another post.

You went right back up to that rooftop just to show those nightmares exactly who rules the neighborhood. I enjoyed the gameplay.

Using arrows to pick off enemies before moving in is a perfect strategy. Were the demons grouped too closely together this time, making stealth impossible?

Yeah they're too close so I didn't risk it.

You have great archery skill, I see. Those headless demons look scary but it seemed like they're your easiest targets. When you were creeping behind the Kuchisake, I was hoping it wouldn't turn back but what I was not hoping happened last.

You took one look at the massive horde of angry demons rushing your way and correctly decided it was time to run. It was brilliant.

The phone booth system is one of my favorite mechanics in the game. Did you ever get close to filling your Katashiro, or do you transfer spirits to stay safe?

I filled Katashiro more than once when I couldn't absorb more souls before I'd do a transfer.
