Morning walk around the reservoir
Greetings everyone how are you all friends, I hope you are always healthy. Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. On this occasion, I took a morning walk around Situ Lembangan or water reservoir.
This water reservoir is used as a turbine driver, the water is channeled through a pipe with a fairly large diameter. I often pass by this area, but have not had the change to stop by, but this time I had the opportunity while walking in the morning to see the water reservoir.
The address is on Cikoneng street, Ubrug Warungkiara, Sukabumi area. Walking is one way to keep the body healthy. The water reservoir, a source of water to Drive turbine, was built around 1917 and inaugurated around 1923.
It was built by the Dutch government, this water reservoir is a historic building. The water reservoir as a turbine driver, is still functioning today. Supplying electricity connected to the Java-bali line.
The location of the water reservoir is on a hill, while walking I could see the water gate, which divides water for the turbine's driving needs. Which is distributed through pipes and distributed water for agriculture and also for clean water companies through a purificstion process.
At the water gate, the water gate guard showed me a wooden plank under the water gate, which still looks sturdy since it's construction. The water gate guard explained that during the rainy season there is a lot of garbage in the water gate, and the water gate guard cleans it with simple tools. Then the waste is processed by machine into compost.
I walked again from the water gate to the water control building until the highway followed the pipe path, besides it there was a small road. The process from the water gate, water enters the control building. There are two large yellow pipes with a fairly steep position.
The water in the pipe is no longer trash, after being filtered in several places, the water in the large pipe enters the turbine drive building.
