Part 2- Celebrating my father's 52nd birthday: A three-day journey to Manolo Fortich - Musuan - Cagayan - Butuan

After such an exhilarating time at Dahilayan Adventure and Forest Park and a night of very comfortable sleep in a nearby hotel room that only costs 1500 Philippines pesos for already four people, we were on our way to other places we wanted to visit in Bukidnon.

The first place we went was my school, Central Mindanao University. My school was super far away; it must have taken two hours to travel from Dahilayan to CMU. But it was all worth it; I finally got to see my school and go to experience the vibes there.

The entire university was so large that we got lost multiple times. The whole place was also covered with pine trees, making the air cool and fresh. I also got to visit and take a picture in the College Of Engineering.

After chatting with some staff there regarding the possibility of face-to-face classes, it was time for us to leave Central Mindanao University and go to our other destinations.

But on the way, we came across the Philippine Carabao Center at Central Mindanao University who sold tons of dairy products. We bought their fresh carabao milk and the chocolate-flavored carabao milk, which tasted superb!

My father has always wanted to go back to the restaurant we ate at during my sister's graduation in Cagayan, and so he suggested that we eat there for lunch.

And so, after another three hours of traveling, we were at Prawn House Seafood Restaurant located in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental.

The view overlooked the sea, and it was quite a beautiful scene to look at while eating.

They had a wide array of food to choose from, not only limited to sea foods alone. We opted for a package meal they had: grilled tuna belly, deep-fried pork belly, tinolang manok (native chicken soup), pansit guisado, prawns, pork sisig, and with unlimited rice and bottomless iced tea.

Their servings were pretty decent-sized that we even had food leftover after being so full.

We were then on our way to yet another destination my mother always wanted to visit; it was the Divine Mercy Shrine in Cagayan de Oro.

After we put on our "sayal" because shorts above the knee and skirts were not allowed inside, we could now enter the area. We were greeted with several stores and a very tall building of Jesus that you could climb up after being oriented by the staff.

The place was so beautiful; it was filled with very colorful flowers and had a fantastic view of the sea.

After such a tiring day, it was finally time for us to end the day and rest. We booked a reservation at One Oasis- Cagayan de Oro. We paid 2500 pesos for a single room that could fit five to six people, and it was such a reasonable price for the room we got.

It had such a fantastic view of Cagayan de Oro.

The room also came with full air-conditioning, Wifi, a rice cooker, a water heater, an electric stove, a refrigerator, and a television set.

Our last day in our three-day journey.

It was such a fantastic time spent traveling, and it was time to go home. But before going home, we first bought sandals and shoes and ate lunch before hitting the road.

We had to say goodbye to my sister's boyfriend as he was bound to Zamboanga.

Along the Claveria-Gingoog road, it was so cold and foggy that we had trouble driving through it. Mind you, this was 3 in the afternoon.

After an additional five hours of driving, we arrived at Ampayon, Butuan City, to eat dinner. We ate at a local bbq store, it was so cheap! One stick of pork meat only cost us 5 pesos.

After eating, and an additional two hours of traveling, we finally arrived home, greeted by our cute doggo Angelo. Don't worry, my aunt was there to take care of him while we were away.

And there we ended our three-day journey to Manolo Fortich - Musuan - Cagayan - Butuan.

Thank you for virtually coming with us on this super fun journey!

Thank you so much! The roads were so foggy because the place is such in a high elevation, it's along mountains.
