You may take apologizing lightly, but in my experience this is an issue that can destroy even the strongest business relationships. Hence, you have to pay more attention to this - if you ever screw things up in any way or form, you have to be responsible enough to own up to it, and apologize to whomever you need to apologize to.

The obvious question now is - why would a business person not simply apologize when they're on the wrong. Well, the answer is straight forward - it's pride. Some people have so much pride, that it's really difficult to understand their angle of reasoning a times. These are the kinds of people that just refuse to apologize.

They feel like if they apologize, they'll probably die or something. I say this because - why on Earth will you do something, and you know that it's wrong or you're at fault or perhaps you're the cause of a problem that you and all your partners are facing, and yet you wouldn't just apologise, and say that you're sorry.

This may also be a major problem in relationships outside business. Such as relationships with family and friends. In general, you have to be as sincere with yourself as possible. If you have done something that isn't ideal, you take responsibility for it, and say your apologizes to parties that deserve it.

Usually people misconstrue what it means to be a strong person. As a result, some businessmen refuse to apologize when they're on the wrong, because they think that by apologizing, they'll appear as been weak. But that's not true. No matter how powerful or important you think you are, you have to apologize when you're wrong - in reality, it goes a long way to show how refined and mature you are as an individual.
