A gift for Doll [ENG-ESP]

Greetings friends of Hive Pets,

For several months I have been wanting to buy a toy for Muñeca, she has a lot of energy and always wants to play. Muñe has some rubber balls, but there are times when the game is about running and with that she releases her energy.

A friend of mine who lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has a dog named Tommy, he also has his toys like rubber balls and an edible chewing bone. I just wanted to buy one for Muñeca, however, my budget is somewhat limited. I didn't know that the bone was edible, my friend explained it to me, I was surprised. This past December, my friend Luis sent some things to Venezuela, he gave me some candy and Muñeca a bone.

I was very happy, a gift for Muñeca, one that I had not been able to buy for her, finally she has her little bone. My friend Luis told me that dogs love it, he even tells me that his dog Tommy growls when he wants to take it away. He told me "you'll see why Muñeca won't want you to take it off". It seems to be addictive, I thought.

I found this bone very useful because Muñeca sometimes gets stressed and starts breaking things, if she gets a bag she tears it to pieces, the same thing she does with paper or whatever she finds and that worries me because she can swallow those pieces and get sick to her stomach and generate an intestinal obstruction. Sometimes I see her grab a branch and chew on it, I don't think she swallows the pieces, she just tears it up and leaves the pieces scattered around.

Finally the day came, I showed her the bone in its package, it's one of those bags that rattles, she was excited, especially because the bag it came wrapped in rattles and she knows that noise, she knows it's food. She was attentive and curious, I let her smell it first and then unwrap it. I gave it to her, she immediately grabbed it and started chewing on it. I left it for a while, I sent some pictures to my friend Luis so he could see Muñeca with her gift, then, he told me "pretend you are going to take it away so you can see how she reacts".

My surprise was that it was not necessary to take it off, she left it herself, she kind of enjoyed it for a while and then she got bored. When I try to take it off she doesn't growl, so cute Muñe, she doesn't object, she is a little angel. I also noticed that she is not very attracted to the bone, at least not as Luis told me, it is not addictive for her and that makes me happy. Muñeca chews on it for a while and then stops when she doesn't want it anymore.

When I see her chewing on things and she is a little restless, I give her the bone, I see that she grabs it without much enthusiasm and chews on it for a while until she gets bored and lets it go. I know this toy has its pros and cons because I have read about it, however, I have noticed that it calms her down and distracts her when I see her very active. Also, I prefer her to chew on that bone instead of branches or other objects, it is dangerous.

For dogs, chewing things is a way to release stress. I'm glad to read that Muñe is not addicted to that bone, it's a way for her not to become dependent on that toy, even though it does help her calm down a bit.

Yes, that surprised me because of what I had been told, that it is addictive. I help her release stress with other games, like catching the ball or running. But there are times when I can't play with her and then I give her the little bone, she bites it for a few minutes and calms down. Greetings.
