Saludos amigos de Movies & TV Shows, aquí estoy de nuevo en este concurso de Halloween participando por mi tercera entrega de unos de mis géneros favoritos, el terror y el suspenso.
En esta ocasión le voy a hablar de tres películas que me gustaron mucho, una de ellas considerada un clásico del terror de todos los tiempos. Las otras dos son más recientes, y como siempre, me gusta verlas una y otra vez cuando la trama me atrapa y nunca pero nunca me aburren.
El teléfono negro
Esta película la vi recientemente luego de escuchar algunas opiniones, al ser de terror no lo pensé dos veces para verla. La trama se fundamenta en un psicópata que secuestra adolescentes, los tortura y luego los mata hasta que se topa con Finney Blake, personaje que interpretó el actor Mason Thames. En el pueblo nadie sabe lo que pasa entre las víctimas y el secuestrador porque nunca nadie regresó para contarlo. Por cierto, “El Raptor” como lo llaman, es un personaje que usa una máscara y luce bastante aterrador, el papel lo hizo el reconocido actor Ethan Hawke. La idea es que nunca lo reconocieran y continuar haciendo de las suyas, sin embargo, al momento del secuestro deja una pista, unos globos negros que salen de la camioneta que conduce para llevarse a sus víctimas.

El terror que se hace presente en este film no es cualquiera, es decir, no es el suspenso tradicional de siempre, posee algunos matices sobrenaturales y hasta un poco de ficción para resolver el caso. También hay algo de drama, ya que Finney Blake y su hermana Gwendolyn son víctimas de su padre viudo y alcohólico, quien los maltrata constantemente y para completar sus vidas tristes sufren acoso escolar.
Durante el secuestro, pude observar que salir de las garras de aquel psicópata era muy difícil, sobre todo para chicos de 13 años, las presas fáciles de este depredador. El terror sobrenatural hizo su aparición en la película para ayudar a Finney a librarse de las garras de su verdugo. Curiosamente, en la habitación donde estaba encerrado, un teléfono negro sonaba y en el se escuchaban las voces de las anteriores víctimas para darle a Finney indicaciones que lo ayudaran a escapar y no cometiera los mismos errores que les costó la vida a todos ellos. Por otra parte, Gwendolyn tenía visiones, una habilidad que se sumó a favor para encontrar a su hermano. Sin estos dos elementos, creo que sería imposible salir con vida.

La película me pareció interesante de principio a fin, cada escena nos invita a querer saber más y más. La intriga crece y nos atrapa. Además, las actuaciones estuvieron fuera de serie, nunca vi a Ethan Hawke hacer un papel como este, donde juagaba con las mentes de los chicos, en un juego mortífero de caza entre el gato y el ratón, con un triste final. A Mason Thames nunca lo había visto actuar, pero hizo un buen trabajo, algo fuerte para su edad, luchar contra un hombre mayor, con actitudes psicópatas y enfermizas. Hubo una escena donde lloró desconsoladamente porque pensó que jamás saldría de ese lugar, muy real y entendible.
Arrástrame al infierno
Esta es una de mis películas favoritas, la puedo ver una y otra vez y no me aburre en lo absoluto, ¿porque será?. Hacer lo correcto no siempre es lo mejor y a veces las apariencias engañan, sino que lo diga Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), quien tratando de ascender a un nuevo puesto en la entidad financiera donde trabaja le niega una oportunidad a Sylvia Ganush (Lorna Raver), una anciana que no ha podido pagar su casa. Tras varias prórrogas, Christine le cierra las puertas sin saber que se trata de una anciana gitana vengativa que le lanza una maldición con la Lamia, un demonio muy poderoso. A partir de entonces, la chica junto a su novio Clayton Dalton (Justin Long) emprende una notable lucha para salvar su vida. El tiempo no está de su lado y los días se convierten en minutos.

De principio a fin hay mucha expectativa de que lo puede suceder, las escenas fueron algo singulares, sobre todo entre Ganush y Christine, eran asquerosas, pero no se trata de ese típico asco que nos causa ver vísceras y sangre por todas partes ni cuerpos descuartizados, estaban llenas de humor negro y eso les imprimía un aire de superioridad y frescura. La verdad es que este film combina muy bien el terror con el humor de una manera sublime. Hay mucho suspenso desde el comienzo, al punto mantener al espectador hasta el final si quería saber quién gana la batalla, el bien o el mal. Quizás la mala era Christine por no haber ayudado a la anciana en su afán de darle rienda suelta a sus propios intereses, ¿o acaso era Sylvia Ganush por lo que hizo en venganza? .

Alison Lohman hizo un papel memorable, una chica noble, pero muy atormentada a raíz de aquel extraño suceso. Tenía buenos sentimientos y era algo tímida también, pero se ganó una sorpresiva venganza por hacer lo que ella consideraba como correcto. Nunca se imaginó lo que viviría luego de rechazar a la que parecía una inocente y pobre anciana. Lo que sí puedo decirles con toda certeza, es que me encantó el final, jamás esperé eso, creo que a muchos les pasó lo mismo, lo subestimé, pero superó mis expectativas, merecido o no para mí fue impresionante.
La profecía
Si el exorcista es considerada una de las películas más terroríficas jamás vista, considero que a la Profecía deben incluirla irremediablemente en ese terrorífico repertorio. La lucha entre el bien y el mal siempre ha existido, salvo que en este film se vive el nacimiento del anticristo y todos los sucesos extraños y sobrenaturales que se suscitan en torno a él.

La Profecía consta de 3 películas, en la primera parte se desarrolla la historia del anticristo, desde su nacimiento hasta que alcanza unos 4 o 5 años de edad. Una pareja cuyo hijo muere al nacer recibe a esta criatura que llegó al mundo el mismo día, solo que su madre no es humana, además, posee una marca oculta muy especial que lo identifica, revela quien es realidad. La película cuenta con muchas escenas aterradoras y quien se atreve a descubrirlo no vivirá para contarlo.
Tuve la oportunidad de ver las siguientes secuelas, porque la historia continúa con la vida de este ser sobrenatural, su etapa de adolescencia hasta llegar a la edad adulta. En esta última parte, el anticristo busca la confrontación y cree que puede ganar.r>

En el año 2006, hubo un remake de la primera película que se estrenó en 1976, justo en una fecha que fue considerada ideal por la numeración que alude al nacimiento del anticristo, 06 de junio de 2006. Entre estas dos versiones considero que la original era mucho mejor, quizás por ser la primera de este film y porque siempre resultará impresionante en relación a las siguientes reediciones. Uno de los elementos que le imprimen terror a la profecía es la banda sonora, la música es espeluznante, la canción se llama “Ave Satani”, está escrita en latín y no querrás saber lo que significa su letra, es realmente escalofriante.

Greetings friends of Movies & TV Shows, here I am again in this Halloween contest participating for my third installment of one of my favorite genres, horror and suspense.
This time I'm going to talk about three movies that I really liked, one of them considered an all-time horror classic. The other two are more recent, and as always, I like to watch them over and over again when the plot catches me and never but never get bored.
The Black Phone
I saw this movie recently after listening to some opinions, being a horror movie I didn't think twice to watch it. The plot is based on a psychopath who kidnaps teenagers, tortures them and then kills them until he runs into Finney Blake, a character played by actor Mason Thames. No one in town knows what happens between the victims and the kidnapper because no one ever came back to tell the tale. By the way, "The Raptor" as he is called, is a character who wears a mask and looks quite scary, the role was played by renowned actor Ethan Hawke. The idea is that he would never be recognized and continue doing his thing, however, at the time of the kidnapping he leaves a clue, some black balloons that come out of the van he drives to take his victims.

The terror that is present in this film is not just any, that is, it is not the traditional suspense, it has some supernatural overtones and even a bit of fiction to solve the case. There is also some drama, as Finney Blake and his sister Gwendolyn are victims of their widowed and alcoholic father, who constantly mistreats them and to complete their sad lives they are bullied at school.
During the kidnapping, I could see that getting out of the clutches of that psychopath was very difficult, especially for 13-year-olds, the easy prey of this predator. Supernatural terror made its appearance in the film to help Finney free himself from the clutches of his tormentor. Curiously, in the room where he was locked up, a black telephone rang and the voices of the previous victims could be heard to give Finney indications to help him escape and not make the same mistakes that cost the lives of all of them. On the other hand, Gwendolyn had visions, an ability that added up in favor of finding her brother. Without these two elements, I think it would be impossible to get out alive.

I found the movie interesting from beginning to end, each scene invites us to want to know more and more. The intrigue grows and traps us. Also, the performances were off the charts, I've never seen Ethan Hawke play a role like this, where he played with the minds of the boys, in a deadly game of cat and mouse hunting, with a sad ending. Mason Thames I had never seen him act, but he did a good job, somewhat strong for his age, fighting an older man, with psychopathic and sick attitudes. There was a scene where he cried inconsolably because he thought he would never get out of that place, very real and understandable.
Drag me to hell
This is one of my favorite movies, I can watch it over and over again and it doesn't bore me at all, why is that? Doing the right thing is not always the best thing to do and sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), who is trying to get promoted to a new position in the financial institution where she works, denies an opportunity to Sylvia Ganush (Lorna Raver), an old woman who has not been able to pay for her house. After several extensions, Christine closes the doors without knowing that she is a vengeful old gypsy woman who puts a curse on her with the Lamia, a very powerful demon. From then on, the girl together with her boyfriend Clayton Dalton (Justin Long) undertakes a remarkable fight to save her life. Time is not on her side and days turn into minutes.

From beginning to end there is a lot of expectation of what can happen, the scenes were somewhat unique, especially between Ganush and Christine, they were disgusting, but it is not that typical disgust that causes us to see viscera and blood everywhere or dismembered bodies, they were full of black humor and that gave them an air of superiority and freshness. The truth is that this film combines horror with humor in a sublime way. There is a lot of suspense from the beginning, to the point of keeping the viewer until the end if he wanted to know who wins the battle, good or evil. Perhaps the bad guy was Christine for not helping the old woman in her eagerness to indulge her own interests, or was it Sylvia Ganush for what she did in revenge? .

Alison Lohman played a memorable role, a noble girl, but very tormented in the wake of that strange event. She had good feelings and was somewhat shy as well, but she earned a surprising revenge for doing what she considered to be the right thing. She never imagined what she would go through after rejecting what seemed like an innocent and poor old woman. What I can tell you for sure, is that I loved the ending, I never expected that, I think the same thing happened to many, I underestimated it, but it exceeded my expectations, deserved or not for me it was awesome.
The Omen
If The Exorcist is considered one of the most terrifying movies ever seen, I consider that The Omen must be irremediably included in that terrifying repertoire. The struggle between good and evil has always existed, except that in this film we live the birth of the antichrist and all the strange and supernatural events that arise around him.

The Omen consists of 3 films, in the first part the story of the antichrist is developed, from his birth until he reaches about 4 or 5 years of age. A couple whose son dies at birth receives this creature who came into the world on the same day, only that his mother is not human, in addition, he has a very special hidden mark that identifies him, reveals who he really is. The film has many terrifying scenes and whoever dares to discover it will not live to tell the tale. .
I had the opportunity to see the following sequels, because the story continues with the life of this supernatural being, his adolescence stage until he reaches adulthood. In this last part, the antichrist seeks confrontation and believes he can win.

In 2006, there was a remake of the first film that was released in 1976, just on a date that was considered ideal for the numbering that alludes to the birth of the antichrist, June 6, 2006. Between these two versions I consider that the original was much better, perhaps for being the first of this film and because it will always be impressive in relation to the following reeditions. One of the elements that give terror to the prophecy is the soundtrack, the music is creepy, the song is called “Ave Satani”, it is written in Latin and you don't want to know what its lyrics mean, it is really creepy.

Hola amiga, que buena esta selección, de la cual solo conocía la primera, ya que he visto muy buenas críticas al respecto y sobre todo la anote para verla, pero se me paso. Además, me llamo la atención un poco sobre la situación que se presenta al respecto, y más un tema que es algo complicado, como también una película que está cargada de bastante terror, por lo que me comento mi hermano, a pesar de que no es mi estilo, la veré. Las otras dos voy a ver que tal son y me animó a verla. Un gusto leerte amiga, saludos.

Esa película del teléfono negro no la había visto y la de Arrástrame al Infierno de verdad es una película horrorosa, pero deja un muy buen mensaje, aparte de no te metas con un gitano xD es tratar a todos con respeto y comprensión. Me dio mucha cosa de verdad la anciana al comienzo de película lo desesperada que estaba.

Bueno la verdad es que la chica de arrastrame al infierno la trató con respeto solo que por ganar el puesto dejó de lado la humanidad y se dejó llevar por las políticas y normas de la institución donde trabajaba y ese fue su craso error

The Omen es un super clásico de culto de terror que todo amante del cine debe de ver jejeje y como dices, no sé si por la nostalgia o por capricho, la primera es mi preferida.
