Update: My garden in November

Greetings dear friends of Hive Garden. It's been three months since I last visited this lovely community to update you on the progress of my garden; the last time was in August. Personal commitments and work had prevented me from doing so, and some unexpected expenses had also prevented me from buying new plants. As I had already told you, ornamental plants predominate in my garden; I love the color and variety of the flowers.

In July, I received a small gift: some cuttings from the Trinitaria plant, an ornamental plant with many medicinal properties. It is a shrub that grows very large, with beautiful flowers in shades of white, red, fuchsia, and melon. If we prune it, we can keep it at a reasonable size to suit our tastes, which is my plan, as I don't have room for a large tree. The truth is that I kept these cuttings in water for almost four months, changing the water every two or three days so that they would grow roots and then plant them in soil. A friend recommended this to me because the first time I brought some sticks from this bush, I planted them right away and they dried out. Some plants are like that. In my ignorance and on the advice of someone else, I made that mistake, but this time I succeeded. I had been told that the flowers would be red, but to my surprise, they are fuchsia. Yes, even though it is so small, it gave me many flowers.

I experienced the whole process and it was wonderful. It bloomed very quickly; the process is slower when grown from seed. I also received gifts of three types of Vinca Rosea: red, pink with a white center, and white with a pink center, which I am still waiting to bloom. I kept them in water for a week and then transplanted them into soil using plastic cups. When I was finally able to buy some beautiful vases, I made the switch. The clay definitely adds a touch of elegance to my garden. I bought both of them at a supermarket for only $1.30. I also went to the nursery and bought a couple of vases to leave upside down on the ground for decoration.

At the nursery, I bought two new species of plants, my long-awaited desert rose and a type of flower known as Joy of the Home, scientific name: Impatiens Walleriana. The Desert Rose has not yet bloomed, so it will be a surprise to see the color of its petals. I will be very happy when its buds begin to appear. The cost, including the pot (I love that the plant is already quite large), was $5. This plant needs a lot of sun and little watering, unlike Impatiens, an ornamental plant that is grown in the shade, without direct light and with little water. However, the soil must be kept moist, but without overdoing it so as not to damage the roots. Its flowers are beautiful, with a variety of colors. I brought one with two-tone petals, which is adorable.

I hadn't had time to clean up, so weeds grew. I took some time to do it and managed to clean up the area; everything looked nicer. Here is the before and after. Many Mirasol plants, known as Cosmos, and some Coquetas also sprouted.

This flower grew wild in my garden. It is beautiful and appears to be French purslane, whose scientific name is Talinum Paniculaton. It is an ornamental plant, but it is also edible and has medicinal properties. Since it grows spontaneously, it does not require any special care. See you in the next garden update.

You can't beat the feeling of growing something from seed and seeing it flourish. What gorgeous colours and how healthy they look.

It is wonderful to see flowers, beautiful colors. Especially for us who are under the influence of autumn, rain, fog, frost.

Very nice flowers have bloomed. And all the colors of the flowers look incredibly beautiful. Since the flower plants are still small, if they are properly cared for, many more flowers can bloom later.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, they are small and cute. I hope that when they grow bigger, they will look even more beautiful. Best regards.
