Hivechess S17 Round 10 Report - My games

Hello. Today I was able to join the Hivechess S17 Rnd 10 tournament. A few days before, I practiced with some 3 min blitz games to prepare myself. My strategy for this is to just stay solid and avoid mistakes.

In my first game I played Black vs rosmarly. In the below position White had a winning combination but not easy to see in blitz.

Nxc6! gives White a +2 advantage. White had the advantage throughout but I found a win after a few moves leading the the position below.

Rxd4! wins outright.

Second game. I played White against tortyllan who always play berserk so he has less time.

I had a winning position but let it slip away and I lost.

Bxc5 is winning but I missed the proper continuation and lost.

Game 3. I played Black against mypathtofire. I had the advantage in the opening after my opponent made a blunder.

Nxe5 wins a pawn.

Game 4. I played White against agreste. Similar to game 3, I had the advantage in the opening.

axb5 cxb5 Bxb5+ wins.

Game 5. I played White against tortyllan again. This time I took advantage of my lead in time and won.

Game 6. I played Black against RicardoFox. My opponent blundered and gave me the win.

Nc2 wins.

Game 7. I played White against migmag. He failed to make a move and gifted me the win.

Game 8. I played Black against eniolw. He played better and I eventually blundered.

Game 9. Third game with White against tortyllan. Similar to my second game with him I just took advantage of my lead in time and won.

Game 10. I played Black against migmag. He played aggressively but blundered with b5?

Bxa3+ Kd1 Nf2+ wins.

Game 11. Fourth game with White against tortyllan. I won again as he keeps playing in berserk mode.

Game 12. I played Black against @stayoutoftherz . In the position below he blundered with Qd3 allowing Qxh4+

Qxh4+ wins.

Qxe1+ Bxe1 Ne2+ wins but I missed this :)

Game 13. I played White against eniolw. He didn't make a move and gifted me with a win.

Game 14. Rematch with rosmarly which he won.

I was pleasantly surprised that I made 2nd place. It was a fun tournament and really grateful to the organizers for making this happen. Thank you!
