A Well-Spent Belated Father's Day Togetherness
Although, it was a belated Father's Day celebration, it was needed and worthwhile. It had been tiring for all of us the past 7 days when my youngest son was down with abdominal pain which called for hourly tube-feeding, then when his abdominal pain was manageable, followed by him having upper respiratory infection, thus leaving him coughing non-stop. It was scary for a CDH child when you see his compromised lungs worked so hard to breathe.
During the past 7 days, I was literally stucked beside Jansen to have close monitoring and proper caring, while my husband did all the other work plus housechores. Thank you, Hubby.
Jansen is finally well. This called for a celebration. He also remembered he said last Sunday he wanted to celebrate Father's Day when he recovered.
Happy Father's Day
The trophies were done by the boys some weeks back during their art class and they kept the trophies till last Sunday. The trophies said the father got the 1st place and he is World's Best Daddy! Didn't get to take proper photo with the boys yet at that time because Jansen was still in pain.
Fast forward to yesterday, when we finally could get together for a proper celebration. Like, yayyyy... Finally!!!
We went for a show to watch Jurassic Park at 3:30pm, non-peak hours to avoid crowd. There were only 10 of us in the cinema. Super nice show in my opinion.
After that, it was still early for dinner, so we walked out of the mall where there was a mini park there, to hang out while breathing some fresh air. Nature is always the best. Love all the greens here.
Children can play anything if they let them imagine. They found sticks on the ground and tried to stuck the stick to make pole. Little things like this made them happy.
And little things like these make me happy - smily stars. They will have lights at night.
Husband was walking around the park here catching Pokémon. Haha. His hobby to relax.
This mini park has nice spots to sit down to relax as well as the centre area for children to run about. It used to be small fountains of water spray for children to play, you know, like some mini wet play, but it was no longer operating.
After spending 45 minutes here, the sky was getting darker, it was time for dinner. We went to Nando's again. The same Nando's we went some weeks back. Haha. But this time it would be our treat for the Boss in the house.
Happy Father's Day to this man who selfless and relentless cares for us and home and church with all of his heart. May God grants the desires of his heart.
We enjoyed the environment and food here.
Before we headed home, little one wanted to be macho on this battery-operated motorbike. It was a 10-minute ride for RM10. It was worth it because it made him so happy.
Last year's celebration
I wanted to treasure every photos in my phone. And below was last year's Father's Day when the boys bought the father his favorite cheese. We bought online because it was still bad covid19 days and we were at home most of the days.
We were just super thankful and hearts full of gratitude to spend time like this together. Thankful for all the prayers and support given by families, church family and friends during our ordeal. I believe every storn will pass, and we will be on the shore again, enjoying calmness and joy in life. God bless you too wherever you are.
