Baby Powder / Freewrite's Prompt by @MarianneEWest

Come to think about it, I had never like baby powder eventhough my mum used it alot of my two little brothers. After shower, it was a must to 'dap dap dap' powders on the neck, inner elbow and private part, those parts prone to have sweat stucked. If took care of them the same way as my mum, put baby powder on them after shower. I saw some mothers put ALOT of powders on their babies even faces and forehead.

If you know me, you would know I am allergic to certain type of fragrance especially those on lotions and baby powders, especially Pureen and Johnson&Johnson's brand. So when I became a mother 9 years ago, I kept giving away alot of baby powder lotion because people kept sending us. It did help when the children had prickly heat and rashes due our warm weather, but it did not help when I kept sneezing away.

However...

Human tends to change, don't we? Just last month, my youngest kept having rashes on his neck and skin folds that I could not help but to follow my aunt's advice, to buy the BEST prickly heat baby powder to use. Snake brand. Hiss...🐍 Mind you, this is no normal brand, it was produced since my aunt was young, according to her. Wow!

I didn't like the smell because it is nothing fragrant, so surprisingly no sneeze from me. Hooray! It soothes the itch alot with menthol ingredients and the children love it. They would apply it by themselves should they have itch.

One funny thing, they forgot my guideline and accidentally put on private part, and lo and behold, menthol feeling. 😂 But it was fine, just little cooling...

Just curious, do you guys suffer from prickly heat?

I have no experience with prickly heat rash. And I had never heard of Snake Brand powder, either. I see it is available on Amazon. Interesting.

I didn't even know what baby powder was until now.
