Meeting Their GrandAunt + Yummy Lunch / ❤️💙💜

After 6 months of lockdown at home, the boys finally got to get out. The first thing they wanted to do was to visit my aunt, their grandaunty. They actually exclaimed, "Saturday, is visit taikupo day!!!" I am not sure did I term it correctly as their grandaunty because in our Chinese language, we have our ways to call people in our family. I call her 'taiku', they call her 'taikupo'. Oh well, I shall call it their grandaunty for blogging purpose. She is my father-in-law's eldest sister, so I called her Big Aunt in my language.

Almost same height now....proud moment!

My aunt took care of my eldest son since he was a baby and she was totally amazed at the speed of his growth in these 6 months — horizontally and diagonally 😁. Look at them standing next to each other. The son, ahem, was feeling so proud of his height now. And my aunt, she is so proud of him too. She loves him a lot, like, really a lot!

Happy Faces

One could tell just how much the children missed their grandaunt. They were very happy. So was I. But ops, I always forgot to do selfie, still getting that into practice. I love taking photos of others but always forgot to take mine. Lol...

Sumptuous Lunch

She cooked delicious fried rice for us today. I bet if Uncle Roger tasted her fried rice, he wouldn't like it, because she doesn't use MSG. In other words, her fried rice was always yummy and healthy. Usually, she added in lots of chicken meat, pumpkin, carrots, peas and corns. The peas were from frozen pack, but the pumpkins, carrots and corns, she preparer fresh from the vegetables. She would patiently cut out the vegetables according to cube shapes, and the corns, the took from corn cob. Also, she would always add in a lot of juicy fresh prawn and generous amount of fried eggs. I shall let the photo shows you.

Besides fried rice, she also cooked a big plate of dumplings soup with chinese spinach. The dumplings was filled with tasty minced pork and prawns, and she handmade from scratch. Well, she told us she always looked forward to cook for us once a week, because our visitation brought merry and joy to her house. She stays alone, just for your information. The soup was so nice because the broth was boiled by using fish bones and fish head. Super healthy and delicious dumplings vegetables soup. I wished I could be greedy to eat all the dumplings but 'sharing is caring.'

I wasn't greedy at all and took only two dumplings.

We were always grateful for food on the table because we know, not everyone can have meal like this. Eventhough my aunt told me she didn't cook alot today, just a fried rice and dumplings soup, we thanked her for her love and we told her we were very appreciative of her. In love with her table full of love.

She would always ready all the plates and souo bowls and cutleries for us. I know I am blessed to have aunt like her.

After lunch, we would chit chat. She would tell us her story and if they were repetitive, I didn't mind. I love to listen to her. Then, we went down ground floor for a walk while looking at the plants from the neighbours. Super love all the greens in this neighbourhood.
