Sunday usually calls for laid back lazy relaxing day, also precious day to spend time with the family. I scrolled the online food delivery for awhile but decided to just cook a simple meal then. Walking to the kitchen and searching for ingredients around, pasta, chicken mushroom can, pumpkin and broccoli. I've got it covered.

Chicken mushroom penne with pumpkin

This is not the meal which professional chef will look for, because it came out from pre-made sauce from a can. Anything easy for today ya, Sunday breezy lazy day. And what's important is, the entire family love pasta and they don't mind how I cook it. 🤪

The pasta sauce

This time I was using the Chicken & Mushroom, simply poured out into a pot, using the can as measurement, add another can of milk/water into it, I used abit of milk, abit of water, stir under low heat until a smooth mixture was formed. I added in minced chicken also. When the sauce started boiling, I added cubes of pumpkin. The whole process took about 20 minutes.

Penne

This time I used penne, very easy, just cooked according to the instructions. Here, stated 8 minutes to 10 minutes.

I also had some leftover 'animal pasta' leftover from yesterday (yes, yesterday, the boys asked for pasta too, haha), so it was added into the boys' plates of pasta too.

All add together

Last step is a no-brainer. Scoop the desired amount of pasta, top up with pasta sauce, voila!

Weird, the eldest didn't like pumpkin, so for his plate, I carefully omit the pumpkin when I scooped the sauce, and serve his with steamed broccoli.

The CoVid19 situation in my country isn't doing so good. Daily about 6k plus cases, almost reaches 7k daily. Please stay safe and take care, everyone.
