Snigo / Amazing Scratch Art

avatar

This brought so much memories to my childhood days. My sister and I love doing scratch art but our scratch arts were slightly different from the one I am going to share here in this post. My sister and I used to do alot of scratch arts on ready-made black colour scratch art thick paper. And a wooden stick would be given to you when you purchased the whole set of art. The whole black paper was blank. All you needed to do was to draw your imagination out onto the paper with the wood provided, and the black layer would be scratched, revealing the colour underneath. We especially loved those with rainbow colours, made our arts looking artsy and outstanding.

I received this Snigo Scratch Art as a free gift after purchasing few books from an online books seller. It was my first time found out about Snigo. They are famous for their scratch arts of various designs and patterns, which depict various cultures and genres too.

What we received as free gift was this pattern of leaves or feathers. It is not the same like the scratch art of my childhood just with a blank canvas but it comes with pattern and you suppose to trace the pattern. It is said to help with memory focus and concentration as well as releasing stress and mental relaxing. Sounds like a timely activity to do.

The boys wanted to do

The boys saw the joy and excitement on my face after I tried the first 'S' alphabet and they said they wanted to try the rest. Of course, I let them finished the rest. The eldest said let the youngest start first.

He really liked it. And he was like absorbed into the art world. Very amazed to see him concentrate. And I was amazed that he could trace it very well. He almost finished the whole thing and we quickly stopped him so that the eldest got to try too. Proven it really helped with focus and concentration. He was sooo focused into it. The eldest got to finish the rest of the alphabets.

It was not enough. They wanted more. So they took turn to decorate the surrounding of the leaves too.

.
We really love this scratch art and love the dark and light orangey hue behind. Hence, we had been browsing the website and Facebook page to be on the look out for sales so that I can buy a few different patterns and designs.

What do you think of this Snigo scratch art?

Thank you for reading.
