La navidad tiene como inicio en el año 1510, pero la verdadera fiesta la comenzó un monje San Nicolás del siglo III, Charles Dickens. Los antepasados siempre han creado historia, los sucesos marcaron el camino de la actualidad, y hoy en día festejamos con nuestras tradiciones la noche buena. No mentira, me gusta la navidad, pero no soporto a las personas que dañan mi sueño. Se podrán preguntar ¿Cómo celebras la navidad? Es fácil, antes iba a visitar a mis abuelos en el pueblo que se criaron mis padres, toda mi familia es de ahí, aunque yo viva muy apartada de mi familia, siempre los visitaba en fechas como Diciembre.

Al visitar a mis a abuelos, visitaba mis tíos y primos, no soy una chica muy familiar, me encanta mi espacio personal y más cuando no termino de crear una buena conexión con los familiares de aquel pueblo lejano. Aún así, tengo algunos primos que dejaron una huella en mi corazón, donde les tengo un gran cariño porque son excelentes personas. El caso es, que el 24 fue una navidad muy diferente a lo común, nos quedamos en mi ciudad por asuntos de trabajo de mi padre, es extraño estar celebrando un 24 en mi casa, ya que en mi casa solo somos 5 personas (contándome) pero aún así, nos vestimos para las fotos que tanto quería mi mamá.

When visiting my grandparents, I visited my uncles and cousins, I am not a very familiar girl, I love my personal space and even more when I am not finished creating a good connection with the relatives of that distant town. Even so, I have some cousins ​​who left a mark on my heart, where I have great affection for them because they are excellent people. The fact is that the 24th was a very different Christmas from the ordinary, we stayed in my city due to my father's work issues, it is strange to be celebrating a 24th at my house, since in my house there are only 5 people (counting me ) but still, we dressed for the photos my mom loved so much.

La cena navideña es una costumbre de las familias venezolanas, consta de la hallaca, la ensalada de gallina, el pernil, pan de banquete y el pan de jamón (aunque este último se volvió tan caro, que se dejó de comprar). Ciertamente, mis padres son gente muy trabajadora, que han resuelto todo este año para tener una cena digna, siempre le he aplaudido los esfuerzos de mis pilares, a veces nos podemos llegar a entender como a veces no, pero lo que si he comprendido de ellos, es que no importa de donde vengas, la forma en como tú vives, lo decides tú.

Mi hogar es una casa de dos pisos, no es tan grande como se ve en las fotos, es realmente sencilla pero bien acomodada. El gusto de mis padres es como el mío, caro pero vale la pena esforzar para poner la casa limpia y linda, este año se pintó las paredes de un color blanco/grisáceo que resaltaba con las luces LED y el árbol navideño, la casa cambió drásticamente porque antes era de un mostaza chillón. En fin, el momento esperado es la cenita, así que todos nos pusimos en la sala mientras que las hallacas se terminaban de calentar junto con el pernil.

Certainly, my parents are very hard working people, who have solved everything this year to have a decent dinner, I have always applauded the efforts of my pillars, sometimes we can understand each other and sometimes not, but what I have understood from them, is that no matter where you come from, the way you live, you decide it.

My home is a two story house, it is not as big as it looks in the pictures, it is really simple but well appointed. My parents taste is like mine, expensive but it is worth the effort to put the house clean and nice, this year the walls were painted in a white/grayish color that stood out with the LED lights and the Christmas tree, the house changed drastically because before it was a garish mustard. Anyway, the long awaited moment is the dinner, so we all sat in the living room while the hallacas finished heating up along with the pernil.
