DIY Mini Tissue Box

avatar

Hello, Diyhubbers! How are you all doing? It’s another day to share my craft with you all, yeahhhh!!!

Before I take you all through the creation process, I want to say a few things about DIY tutorials.
Firstly, DIY tutorials are not as easy as they seem. Secondly, they are not always as perfect as you think.

DIY tutorials look great and watching them gets you fired up, suddenly it looks simple and flawless but in reality, it’s not always as it seems. It takes a lot of effort and perseverance not to give up.

Today’s project was supposed to be seamless and easy, as I had watched in various tutorials but nah, it was more complicated than I expected but I’m glad I was able to finish strong😃

To make this beautiful mini tissue box I used the following materials and followed the steps below.

Materials
Bottle caps
Paper
Scissors
Gum
Pencil
Glue

Procedure

Step 1:
I started by cutting the paper into a small square.

Step 2:
I proceeded to gum the bottle caps neatly on the paper.

Step 3:
I added more bottle caps to create the second layer of the mini tissue box.

Step 4:
I added more bottle caps to create the third, fourth, and fifth layers. I had to calculate all through the process so as not to ruin the shape of the mini box and not to create unwanted spaces.

Step 5:
Creating the last layer was a little tricky as I had to be very careful. I paid attention to the space needed for the flip-top lid and tissue.

Step 6:
Satisfied with how the box turned out, I carefully attached the flip-top lid and waited for the glue to dry.

I trimmed off the excess paper and put some finishing touches to the box, and in no time, my mini tissue box was created.

It's really a wonderful skill to have hidden in such a creative place. But I am very happy to see that such an art can be created with the covers of these beautiful bottles.

Hello!
I loved how you recycle items that many people would throw away and manage to make something so simple and beautiful, not to mention how useful it is. Congratulations!
