¡Un poco sobre mis creencias! Mensaje diario de 5 minutos-11 de septiembre /A little about my beliefs! 5-minute daily message – September 11

English version

Hello to all my readers. I am someone who believes that we all hold beliefs that sustain us. Even those who call themselves "disbelievers" have their own beliefs—ones built upon the foundation of non-belief, as well as family and personal experiences.

By nature—and perhaps with a touch of mysticism—we human beings are born and grow up with certain beliefs that stay with us throughout our lives and can, at times, be very difficult to change. As the saying goes: "What is well learned is never forgotten." No matter how much time passes or how many winters go by, they remain with us, always by our side.

Beliefs can have an indescribable emotional impact on us; they can instill a sense of security, alleviate anxiety, and strengthen hope—qualities that are invaluable in shaping resilient individuals.

I have my own beliefs, even though I do not consider myself a religious person, nor do I practice any specific religion. I believe in the existence of something far greater than all of us—a force that can be felt and perceived, guiding and directing us along life's paths.

Reflecting on beliefs takes me back to the past and reminds me of my mother’s words: "Don't say 'those' words; 'this' thing you're doing brings bad luck; whenever you leave the house, you must always do 'this' to bring good luck." These were just a few of the beliefs that became habits—and, in a way, helped shape who I am today. These beliefs stay with me and are part of my life and family. Over time, I have learned that when it comes to beliefs, everyone has their own, and the secret to living together harmoniously lies in respecting them. Do not impose your beliefs on anyone, and respect those of others; everyone has their own reasons and life experiences that justify them. Shouting what you believe more loudly does not make your expression any more valuable. Being consistent in your actions is a better choice.

I believe that having faith is crucial for getting up every day and embarking on the daily journey—a journey that, for some Cubans, can be quite arduous. I believe in people and in good deeds. Every good deed we perform comes back to us in the form of gratitude and positive energy—nourishment for the soul and fuel for spiritual growth.

To you, the reader: I invite you to participate in this daily writing prompt from @daily.prompt, titled !Creencias! (Beliefs). Sending you a big hug! I plan to stick around for a while, and I hope it’s for the long haul. See you in the next post!
