Dada la iniciativa tan bonita que nos han ofrecido para compartir recuerdos de vacaciones, hoy quiero mostrarles un pequeño viaje que hice con algunos amigos de la Universidad en el año 2017 y que quiero recordar con ustedes a través de algunas fotos lo que vivimos ese día.

Given the beautiful initiative that you have offered us to share vacation memories, today I want to show you a little trip that I took with some friends from the University in 2017 and that I want to remember with you through some photos what we experienced that day.

Fuimos solo por un día y nos tomamos unas mini-vacaciones luego de cumplir con una asignación para una clase y nos quedamos en la ciudad para conocer (o volver a recordar) uno de los destinos más naturales que tiene la capital de Venezuela, Caracas, "El Ávila".

We went just for one day and we took a mini-vacation after fulfilling an assignment for a class and we stayed in the city to get to know (or remember again) one of the most natural destinations that the capital of Venezuela has, Caracas, "El Avila".

"El Ávila" es el pulmón verde de Caracas. La forma más utilizada para subir hasta esta hermosa montaña es a través del Teleférico de Caracas - Warairarepano. Por primera vez utilicé ese medio de transporte que siempre me llamó la atención pero nunca me imaginé utilizándolo.

"El Ávila" is the green lung of Caracas. The most used way to climb this beautiful mountain is through the Caracas - Warairarepano Cable Car. For the first time I used that means of transport that always caught my attention but I never imagined using it.

La foto que ven aquí abajo es justo del momento en el que el teleférico estaban ya a mitad de camino, fueron los 5 minutos más largos de mi vida, y aunque en la foto aparezco sonriendo, estaba bien nervioso porque había escuchado de algunos inconvenientes que se han presentado durante el viaje.

The photo you see below is just from the moment when the cable car was already halfway there, it was the longest 5 minutes of my life, and although I appear smiling in the photo, I was very nervous because I had heard of some inconveniences that have appeared during the trip.

Una vez llegamos hasta la cima, pudimos disfrutar de la increíble vista de toda la ciudad por un lado, y por el otro lado, pudimos ver la vista más verde y natural de la ciudad. Fue un descubrimiento increíble para mi.

Once we reached the top, we were able to enjoy the incredible view of the entire city on one side, and on the other side, we were able to see the greenest and most natural view of the city. It was an incredible discovery for me.

Empezamos a recorrer todo el paseo y conocer un poco de lo que hacen allá arriba, pues cuentan con diversas zonas de comida y para ese entonces, el "Hotel Humboldt no estaba habilitado para visitarlo por lo que no pudimos acercarnos para verlo y fotografiarlo.

We began to walk the entire walk and learn a little about what they do up there, since they have various food areas and at that time, the "Hotel Humboldt was not authorized to visit it, so we could not go near it to see and photograph it.

Este creo que fue el primero de varios viajes que hicimos como amigos y grupo universitario fuera de nuestra ciudad, lo disfrutamos bastante, nos reímos un montón y hasta ahora recuerdan especialmente el pequeño ataque de pánico que me dio mientras íbamos subiendo en el teleférico, porque mientras subíamos, el viento empezó a mover la cabina en donde estábamos nosotros.

I think this was the first of several trips that we made as friends and a university group outside our city, we enjoyed it a lot, we laughed a lot and so far they especially remember the little panic attack that I had while we were going up in the cable car, because As we climbed, the wind began to move the cabin where we were.

Sigue siendo un recuerdo bien interesante y cada vez que nos reunimos, recordamos este y otros tantos momentos que vivimos hace años atrás. Fue sin duda un viaje bien interesante, al menos para mi.

It continues to be a very interesting memory and every time we meet, we remember this and many other moments that we lived years ago. It was without a doubt a very interesting trip, at least for me.

Antes de partir, pude verme con mi prima que vivía cerca de Caracas (Miranda), subió el cerro en el teleférico y tuvo que quedarse suspendida en el aire por un tiempo ya que el viento había aumentado y decidieron detenerlo y esperar que disminuyera la velocidad del viento para volverlo a activar.

Before leaving, I was able to see my cousin who lived near Caracas (Miranda), she went up the hill in the cable car and had to stay suspended in the air for a while since the wind had increased and they decided to stop it and wait to decrease the speed of the wind to activate it again.

Pudimos ponernos al día y volvernos a ver luego de estar un tiempo sin vernos. Poco tiempo después de esta foto, ella decidió irse a vivir fuera del país y solo volví a verla una vez desde entonces. Es un pequeño recuerdo adicional que guardo de ese corto viaje.

We were able to catch up and see each other again after not seeing each other for a while. Shortly after this photo, she decided to move out of the country and I've only seen her once since then. It is a small additional memory that I keep from that short trip.

Fue un viaje lleno de varias cosas buenas, aunque el tiempo fue corto, pasamos por bastante y lo mejor es que pude compartirlo con amigos y familia, sin mucho planearlo y ahora quedó en mi memoria como un recuerdo permanente que también quedó plasmado en algunas fotos que pudimos tomar ese día.

It was a trip full of several good things, although the time was short, we went through a lot and the best thing is that I was able to share it with friends and family, without much planning and now it remained in my memory as a permanent memory that was also reflected in some photos that we were able to take that day.

Agradezco haber podido experimentar ese momento con las personas correctas y espero algún día podamos volver con más amigos y familia para que también conozcan tan bonito lugar y para mi, volver a reconocerlo porque ya han pasado casi 5 años desde que lo visité por primera vez.

I appreciate having been able to experience that moment with the right people and I hope one day we can return with more friends and family so that they also get to know such a beautiful place and for me, to recognize it again because almost 5 years have passed since I visited it for the first time.
