Greetings to all of us who have been in this beloved community, today I am here for the first time in this community to share some pictures and designs of the mosque that I took a few days ago when I was traveling with my friends.

The design I mean on this occasion is the Baiturrahman Mosque in Aceh and this mosque is known as the most famous place of worship throughout Indonesia, especially Muslims and this mosque is known for its beauty even to all corners of the world, how not because this mosque has a very history. so touching that with this history everyone knows and knows about the location of this mosque with its splendor that makes everyone amazed by the design that was built.

History of the Baiturrahman Mosque

According to some information that I know that the Baiturrahman Mosque was first established precisely in 1022H/1612M when it was still under the authority of Sultan Iskandar Muda in Aceh, the establishment of this mosque was very strong even in 2004 there was a big breakthrough. tsunami in aceh this mosque is still standing strong without any damage at all.

The Baiturrahaman Mosque was first built not only as a place of worship but also as a place for teaching science to Muslim children in Aceh, at that time there was glory and splendor on the sidelines of the splendor that existed without the Dutch trying to seize it. Baiturrahman Mosque. This is because at that time the Baiturrahman Mosque was considered a fortress for all the people of Aceh.

During the Dutch colonial period, the Baiturrahman Mosque was destroyed due to the existing war so that all buildings were razed to the ground when it happened in 1873, even though the Baiturrahman Mosque no longer exists, the Acehnese people still did not back down from the war.

A few years before the Dutch governor tried to quell the resistance so that he rebuilt the Baiturrahman Mosque in 1879, the design was made by an architect from the Netherlands, the construction of the mosque went smoothly and finally the construction of the Baiturrahman Mosque was completed. in 1881, at that time Aceh was still under the rule of the Sultan of Aceh named Muhammad Daud Syah.

Although the construction of the mosque went smoothly, the construction was completed beautifully, the people of Aceh at that time refused to worship in the mosque because the mosque was built by the Dutch so that most Acehnese did not want to worship at the Baiturrahaman mosque, but gradually the mosque became an icon of the main place of worship for people. all Muslims in Aceh.

About the Architecture of the Baiturrahman Mosque in Aceh

The Baiturrahman Mosque is considered very similar to the Taj Mahal in India, with beautiful towers and a large dome, this mosque was indeed built with the concept of Mughal architecture, with several combinations and slightly adding other elements including elements of Acehnese culture so that it looks like it is today.

From some of the data that I have read, the Baiturrahman Mosque can accommodate up to 13 thousand worshipers with a building area of around 4000 square meters while the land area is approximately 31,000 square meters, considering that this mosque should be able to accommodate up to 13 thousand adult worshipers. As for the expansion in various buildings, such as the dome section which was added to 7 sections, while the outer courtyard was built in stages and the construction began to be rebuilt in 1991 to 1993.

A few days ago I went on vacation to various places around Banda Aceh with my friends on my trip until the evening so we decided to stop for a while at the Baiturrahman mosque to take some pictures, because if we arrived at the mosque area Baiturrahman but didn't take the picture, of course it didn't feel like a complete vacation to that area.

So to see some of the pictures that I share today, let's see together some of the parts that I will show you below.

The two pictures above are the main gate that I photographed at night with very beautiful lighting with LED lights that reflect light so that it makes the area look more amazing.

Some of the pictures above show several corners of the front yard of the Baiturrahman mosque, on the front page there is also a fish pond which of course can beautify the yard, many of the people used to take pictures in that area with a fish pond in the background and the dome of the mosque looks so stunning.

As you can see the two pictures above are large umbrellas, which during the day the umbrella is open and many people take shelter while resting there, and the process of opening the umbrella is usually manually opened, and as you can see at night The umbrella is closed properly.

The underground hallway is also designed very neatly and beautifully which makes many people rest there too, this underground passage is a passage for walking after bathing or washing your face in the space provided. Here is a place to clean yourself before performing worship at the mosque.

Every design that is made is built as beautifully as possible, even ceramics are also used which have an element of beauty, here I clearly show the ceramic floor tiles.

After you see some of the designs in the basement, don't forget one of the symbols of Aceh which is beautifully designed there, usually we Acehnese call it #PintoAceh and generally it is designed with an identical yellow color, here I show it too.

Now let's move again and go upstairs and enter the inside of the mosque, of course it will be more fun to see the inside which is designed as beautifully as possible, various angles are neatly made and here I show some pictures of the inside.

As you can see the inside is well and neatly designed, when I took the photo there were a lot of people who had just finished praying the Maghrib prayer at that time.
