Splinterlands | Investment Plans on Lands

The launch of lands on Splinterlands might be the most important event that ever happened. As the name of the game emphasizes, the ownership on SplinterVerse is a privilege for those who want to have more assets in our leading game.

Before the debut of lands, my focus was on the second Validator License while it was traded for just $800 - $900 on Hive Engine. Unfortunately, the undervalued state of licenses did not go so long. Now, it is above $1100 on average. Meanwhile, I directed my attention to the lands that I believe will generate good revenue with my efforts.

As the lands have different types and rarity levels, it is really hard to find your dream land for cheap. I want to have a Magic - Fire or Magic - Water land that I can let my monsters work for me.

There are 51 land plots on sale on Splinterlands' internal market. Though $185 per plot may sound too much, any epic or mythical land would turn this money into thousands of bucks easily. Before the prices skyrocket, I want to try my luck with a purchase.

The second, and less risky, idea is that there are some common lands on sale on third party markets such as PeakMonsters. I think the lands listed may be a good investment opportunity if you can catch some promising lands that will be a good match for your cards and strategy.

The cheapest rare land is listed for $87 bucks. Rather than buying plots for $163 (Hive Engine) or $185 (internal market), 2 rare lands purchased on PeakMonsters also sounds like an applicable strategy.

I will be watching the market closely to take an action. Meanwhile, the conditions on crypto market may push some players to re-adjust their strategies. Time to be patient ✌🏼

By the way, there will be 2 more assets for our landers. I think the early days of lands will require a lot of Time Crystals and Grains.

Time Crystals will be tradeable/transferrable tokens that players can buy and sell on third party markets such as Hive Engine. Time Crystals will also be available to purchase at any time from the local Castle by burning 100 DEC or DEC-B per token.

Grain can be obtained by having land workers farm it from a plot, purchasing it from other players on the internal or third-party marketplaces, or purchasing it from local merchants at a price of 1 DEC per Grain (this price is purposely much higher than what is expected on the markets and is meant to be either a last resort, or a way to get a head start for a higher cost).

Grain and Time Crystals will be two new tokens that will affect the volume of trades on Splinterlands assets with the upcoming Lands 1.5 and Lands 2.0!

The production is pretty important source of income for effective lands in the fruitful areas. I really wonder how different the game will be when the mosters start to farm grain, mine SPS and battle in Splinterlands ecosystem.

I think the dynamics of the game will thoroughly change in time. Lands are here to change destiny 🐉
