What utilities do you expect from Hive Punks?

While the Hivefest was taking place, the Punks on Hive blockchain were sold for 20 HIVE and the whole NFT series is sold out in 2 days. Afterwards, the ones who want to own Punks on Hive are supposed to buy it from the market on Punks use Hive by comparing the list of NFTs.

The moment the punks minting started, I minted one for myself to keep as a symbolic NFT of a project. However, the demand on these NFTs exceeded the expectation of most of us. Now, they are featured on the profile pictures of many people.

While I was looking at Saul, I asked him that question: What will your friends and you bring Hive ecosystem?

He stood silent for long while...

Will they find a place for themselves in existing Hive games?

As you know very well, the games on Hive have strong ties to our ecosystem and they are open for anything comes from the community. The first option that comes to my mind is the possibility of these Punk Nfts to have a buff-like effect on Risingstar or Dcity by providing some advantages for the players.

Well, it sounds like a mini use case but I believe it can be quite fruitful for both parties 😌

Will there be a game with $PUNK token?

This is the second option that comes to my mind when the focus is still on gaming. There might be a game that have its in-game currency PUNK, which is generated by the punks and the rarity score can be an affective factor in minting these token.

When it comes to the type of the game, it can be a battle game like Holybread / Thungarian or a concept that is like farming something can be adopted. Even, these NFT characters may have their own bee hives that they take care of... That would be fun 😄

Curation Service like HBI (Hive-Based Income) or #Solairitas?

This is another option that is different from the concept of gaming. As there are some parameters that can be selective for many purposes (like Rarity score or accessories), they provide flexibility to develop any project on these Punks.

While the curation system may sound attractive for many people, this would be the least dynamic mechanism that can be adopted. Thus, I go for the other options 👊🏼

Dividend Sharing Concept -> Investment Fund?

In my opinion, this option would have the most effect on the prices of the punks as there will be a genuine buy pressure on these NFTs. Considering the existing dividend sharing tokens like BRO, He-index, Archon, Utopis etc, there is already a demand from our community to such things. Basically, this NFTs can become a long term hodling but their use case may even reach the other blockchain users to take a look at Hive Punks.

My Point of View

We adore gamifying our investment plans and keeping the dividend systems dynamic in Hive ecosystem. The Hive Punks both attracted nice liquidity and attraction on the projects. For the developers, I'm pretty sure that it would not be really hard to integrate these ownership-based assets to any well-planed project.

On the other hand, it does not necessarily mean that these NFTs must own a use case. They are already unique in their current situation. However, we love dynamic and engaging project in our ecosystem.
