Some of Web 3.0 Complications that Push People Away

20230104_010228_0000.png

Living In this century where internet is evolving from web 2.0 to Web 3.0 slowly people are getting to know about Hive this new internet evolution.

I see a lot of people claim web 3.0 is complicated thing to understand and so hive as well.

At some point I can relate to this as 2 Years back when someone tried to introduce me to Hive and explain things but didn't understand in my first go.

So, from my own personal experience and observations I will share those complications that push people away from web 3.0.

Complications of Web 3.0

The concept of decentralized internet with censorship resistance and ownership also many other benefits is new to people on Web 2.0.

Some of complications of web 3.0 I found are this:

  • Creation of Account
  • Owning Keys instead of Passwords
  • Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) and User interface (UI)
  • One account for All Dapps (Microblogging, Video content, Gaming)

Somehow people on Web 2.0 are used to of centralized atmosphere and for them these few things above are complicated.

Creation of Account

Our every action on Web 3.0 interacts with Blockchain and it requires fee's but on Hive it is free as we have RC.

Web 2.0 users when comes to web 3.0 while creating account when it asks for fee's mostly will think it is another Ponzi, I ain't Paying without even seeing what I'm Getting etc.

Why Is It Empty 03012023234430.jpg
But Hive fix this issue well as people can make free accounts.

Owning Keys instead of Passwords

For people in web 2.0 keeping Passwords save is still a big deal and even in this century mostly people use passwords as their loved one's Name or some numbers Meanwhile web 3.0 comes with Keys and Owning Keys, Making it secure is own responsibility as no other person own your keys.

These are multiple types of Hive keys used for different purposes that seems a bit complicated for Newbies coming from web 2.0 as they have only heard term email/password.

Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) and User interface (UI)
Not everyone knows HTML and it is something comes with web 3.0 and mostly people find it complicated.

Then there comes user interface (UI) of web 3.0 is way much different from web 2.0.

One account for All Dapps
People on Web 2.0 have to create multiple account on different applications like Facebook, Instagram , YouTube.

On Web 3.0 One account is for all Dapps on Hive if I want to make video content than Speak3 Dapp is for this purpose and I can access it using this same account.

If I want to do microblogging than I can do on Leothreads on same account and if I want to Play Games than it is just possible on same account.

In the end this whole concept of web 3.0 is new for people and will take time to normalize or evolve which will make easy for people to adopt this new culture.

Another thing is people who truly comes to web 3.0 with intention of learning always stay and those who don't learn find it complicated.

Remember we all used to learn A, B, C alphabets and it's just a rule of life to learn things and adapt it.

Lucky are those who learnt all of web 3.0 things and now we knows the potential and future of this place while the world will also wake up sooner or later.

Do not Forget to hit Upvote, Comment and Re-blog.
Thanks for reading.

Greetings.

I can see people get confused about one account for all the things but once they get used to it, there's no going back! :)

Maybe cuz you're on Hive from so long.... But try seeing with web 2.0 users perspective?

Here's my own Story. Two Years back when I was active on Web 2.0 someone told me about hive and that time found so complicated creating Account and after All when I finally created account didn't had any idea how to login and what those keys do than eventually I left.

You have written everything very well and you used simple words which made your article easier to understand. Your example is understandable also to a new user.

multiple types of Hive keys

I am just thinking that what if we need to type those keys rather than copy-paste it?🤔
