Am I a Rising Star?

I don't remember exactly when I started playing Rising Star, it must have been in March or April this year, thanks to Tito Ed (tengolotodo) who made it sound fun that I got interested in the game too. The thing is that I didn't really explore and just basically kept pressing the "START" button each time the battery bar is green showing enough energy.

It was kind of a diversion for me from reading too much and I was happy to be accumulating Starbits while doing so. Then I observed that my fans were not increasing and I was stuck in the first four missions in the "Home Town" zone. Being one who is timid to ask questions, I just went on with the game without progressing much until Tito Ed once again came to the rescue so I went shopping for cards that had fans and skills on them.

And then I was horrified when I read a post about the big "E" (Ego) which should be kept low or at zero. I noticed that mine was at 86%, lol! Learned that having a high percentage of it would affect my earnings in the missions.

So in the past weeks, I worked a bit harder to drag the ego down to zero (0%) by playing music lessons all week-long and buying cards with higher "Skills" and some instruments too (guitars and drums) but even so, it took me almost 2 weeks I guess before I finally kicked all the egos away (have 2% now after playing a mission a while back).

The reason it took me a long time to lower my ego is that I often ran out of energy. And the energy problem had me searching for solutions where I learned from other players that I need to have:

  • Pizza Boxes to store discarded pizza for energy boost
    Currently, I only have one of it and I do need to add more as I progress in the game.

  • Coffee Cups to store Coffee that are found on missions which will then make the energy recovery rate a lot faster, meaning, I don't have to wait all day long for the energy bar to get recharged. I only have one too of this. Will have to buy more in the sooniverse.

Anyway, I decided to give myself a good time to learn more about the game. I don't even know how much I "earned" or "gained" from playing because I used them all to buy packs, cards and also played "Music Promoter" from time to time.

The game is fun but in order to progress, I'm going to have to learn the leaps and bounds of it. Additionally, I have been winning on some giveaways that I participated so those wins add to the excitement at times.

I would greatly appreciate any tips and game strategies that can help me rise in this game, thank you in advance!

I played this game from last year, but kind of abandon it since I mostly away from my PC, then started to play again a few months back when I knew how to play it using my phone.

Anyway, you should by pizzabox or slice pizza also to store the discarded pizza. so you can use it after finishing one mission.

my advice for you is that you should buy pizza slice and pizza box, you dont really need coffee cups or should i say the first two i mentioned are more important, then after this, grind your way to level 50 and keep 1m starbits in hive engine so you can be eligible for the millionaire card, from there it will be easy peasy for you to build your account and to also make some profit..

Oh wow, thank you for your advice, it's very much appreciated. I won't be buying coffee cups then, and get more pizza slice and pizza box instead ;)
Will work my way up to level 50 and the challenge would be to get 1M starbits in my HE wallet (I may need to give a budget to it and buy some from time to time).

yes that would help and to boost your level, do guitar lesson more, atleast that is what i did and within 2 months i got to level 50

My advice: do mission music lessons that overlap the ego, if you do it enough. Also try to do different missions within 24 hours. This way the earnings will be higher.

Your risingstar journey may not have started on the right note, but from what you've said it seems you're getting back on track.

I'm no pro in risingstar, but what I did when I started was I bought 3 energy boost and 1 pizza box. I bought a few fans, then I bought and focused on a specific instrument (guitar) and then kept playing that music lessons. It increased my xp really quickly and I had so much skills I don't need to worry about ego. Then I got to level 50 and changed my focus to fans and starbits. I also bought a million starbits so I can get my millionaire card and earn starbits faster.

Now it's all about getting my investment back while still building.

And you might not be a pro as you mentioned but your strategy worked so I'm going to have to do the same thing since it is what others here also recommended or advised. Will be playing guitar lessons most times because I just discovered that my permanent ego is higher than my skills, lol!

A few tips:

  • Buy some cheap instrument cards in the marketplace to boost your skill points from music lessons.
  • Run shorter missions during the day while you are at your computer. Try to have enough energy at the end of the day to run a longer mission while you sleep.

I have been playing since probably March. I too have seen a few posts that have helped me along. I still feel like I am fumbling a bit but it is easy to play since it can run missions in the background.

I got started in Rising Star kind of the same way you did. It seemed like a nice little diversion, not too complicated to pick up. I do feel like I should have learned a little more before I got to level 15. That is where I realized that ego is an issue. I had to do several singing and guitar lessons to get my ego down from 98% to 0. Instead I learned by experience. I am going to stick to playing it and see how much more I can learn. You're very welcome, @ifarmgirl! It is very nice that other players share their strategies. I like Rising Star because I can play it whenever I have spare time and it doesn't have to take up a bunch of my time. And it is more accessible as far as being able to understand how it works. It still requires some level of effort but not huge. Have a great day! 😀

Games super easy and makes for a nice passive little game to play. I think that's what has made it so popular! I just joined the million club a week or two ago and working on my card stack now currently 538. Pizza is a life saver lol

Hello, sis! I must confess that I am becoming very addicted to RS. I've never been a gamer myself but I find it so much fun and so easy to play. Here are the tips that have helped me to progress:

  • Pizza Boxes and Pizza Slices try to have at least a couple of each. I've done well with that amount. I don't have coffee cups. And I've rarely run out of energy.
  • Combine the missions you do during the day so you don't gain so much ego. The ones I like the most are the average 30 min to 1-hour missions. At night before I turn off the laptop I always try to be able to leave running one of the long missions that consume 100% energy.
  • I've stopped opening packs and instead go for the cards that interest me.
  • I try to do one or two music lessons a day to help keep my ego at 0%. For this concentrate on just one type of lesson and buy the instruments to improve that lesson. For example, I currently do guitar lessons, and when I find guitars at a good price I buy them to increase the skills I can gain from the lessons.
  • Use this site https://rsgfam.com/ to see what cards are on the market for a good price.

I bought several guitars, the cheap ones with at least 10 Luck each and then kept playing Music Lesson (Guitar Lessons) for days until it finally dropped to zero. The

I guess your Total Ego is higher than your Total Skill so need to increase your skill first :)

Check your Ego by pointing your mouse on the Ego Meter then compare it with your total skill. When I increased my skill, my ego meter stayed at 0%.
