Splinterlands Battle Weekly: RULESET: Fire & Regret + How to Find Old Battles in the API [EN/PT]

Cópia de Starting in dCity, PlaytoEarn's Simulation of a City Governed by You.png

Another epic battle in the world of Splinterlands. This time for the weekly battle challenge (You can find out more about it here: Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge!, the rules were a bit different - Fire & Regret.

ℹ️ Return Fire

image.png

  • All units receive the Return Fire ability at the start of the battle. > Enemy units that attack with ranged attacks receive damage back.

  • Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.

  • Ranged attack units with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.

  • The Amplify ability increases damage.

image.png

The Fire & Regret rule granted all units the Return Fire ability from the start of the battle, meaning any enemy unit attacking me with ranged attacks would suffer damage in return. And the most intriguing part was that the damage returned was equal to half the attacker's damage, always rounded up as written in its Splintercards description.

ℹ️ Monster Composition

My strategy relied on creating a balance between defense and attack, focusing on sustaining my frontline. In this case, Flesh Golem was my best choice, along with its healing ability, I added a few more monsters capable of providing extra support. My composition for this battle looked like this below.

sps1.png

sps2.png

Maybe I'm talking nonsense, but considering my win rate with Flesh Golem, it seems to be one of the best frontlines in Bronze/Silver leagues. Great attack, speed, and 9 points of health, which can be increased by involving other monsters with specific abilities.

Remember, I'm using Mylor Crowling, the nightmare of any physical attacker, he adds the Thorns ability to all my monsters.

Another detail was that I also needed to defend against magical attacks, but Flesh Golem doesn't have abilities like Void or Void Armor, which made me think of using an interesting monster that I don't see many people talking about. That's Mushroom Seer.

sps3.png

Although its low speed and health are somewhat concerning, it compensates with its ability to decrease enemy magical attack. Since I was sure that, due to the rule, they wouldn't try to use many monsters with ranged attacks, this choice was essential to complete my composition.

Rarely, when I'm paying close attention to battles, I end up watching until the third round. I can already try to predict the outcome after these rounds, seems silly, but it's almost a 50% accuracy on that.

Check this out, while my tank manages to maintain its initial health points through itself and other supports, the enemy might already lose their tank on this turn since my full team will cause exactly (8) total attack, taking advantage of their support's low speed, preventing them from healing it in time.

ℹ️ How Dumb Can I Be?

I don't understand how I did this, I just left this post as a draft and forgot to save the battle link. I ended up playing some tournaments and guild battles, and look at this: I couldn't find the link anywhere, which made me angry at my stupidity.

I tried to get it in every way, but it seems like some sites like PeakMonsters weren't showing my battle history, strange.

What did I do? I went straight to the API.

sps7.png

Hey, look at this, just looking at it made me a little dizzy, and I'm not a programmer to understand what's being executed there. However, for this, we have a vast community, ready to share the knowledge that God gave them. After some research, I understood what I had to do, find the battle ID. But that was almost impossible in this amount of text, so I looked for the battle rules, and believe me, there were only three of those.

Thank you for this rule being quite difficult to be selected. Thank you Splinterlands...

ℹ️ Return Fire

  • The Amplify ability increases damage.

image.png

Oque eu fiz? Fui diretamente no API.

sps7.png

Obrigado Splinterlands...

Aqui está oque eu consegui:

 "player_1": "volkadav11",
      "player_2": "ifhy",
      "created_date": "2024-04-04T16:02:49.499Z",
