WISHES COME TRUE

sometimes when we get late replies for our heart desires we tend to lose hope down the road and just become tired of chasing

My friend's story would always be the type we remember and just smile and laugh about because it was indeed the one that ended up with a late reply but eventually with good news.

Here is an old story but would forever be evergreen as it is a story that brings laughter and smiles whenever it's remembered.

We finished high school that year and every one of us tried to get into a higher institution to furthermore but then as life would always have a say over plans, not all would always go as planned and some could not get admitted that same year.

My friend was among and he could not secure his admission that year, he was a bit downcasted but did not give up and so he tried the following year.

But then life comes at him again and still could not get it
This was after so many of us has gotten and were already in the second year in the university.

Now he's getting frustrated and feels like the tertiary thing is not meant for him.

it's either he was not picked for the course he puts in and given another one or gets rejected for no tangible reason.

This was getting to him as time was not by his side anymore.

Every time I wish this works out for him because he puts in a lot of work and deserves it.

Then the third year he tried it again and this time hoping for a positive result but then nothing, there was no mail from the school nor notifications of him getting admitted even after being eligible of all requirements.

Every day was hope for him to get a positive response but then nothing seems to show forth.

It was Christmas period and I remember each time we have a long talk he would always talk about the best Christmas gift he wish was for his admission to work out.

Christmas came and still nothing and now the year is running to an end he had already lost all hope and planned on taking the same exam the coming year since the session is already going to an end.

Only for him to get a mail on the first day of a new year when he was out, of him getting admitted to the school of his choice and preferred course he wanted.

The happiness he had that day knew no bonds as you could tell how happy he was on the phone when he broke the news to me.

It was the best gift he ever received that year with lots of laughter and happiness.

He eventually got what he wanted even though it came a bit later than expected.

He started the year with having the best news and what he ever wanted.

It was a happy one for him as all through the first month of the year he kept talking about how happy he was.

Sometimes late replies of heart desires get us frustrated and worried about what life is all about but when we eventually get what we wanted we become the happiest man on earth
